Step out from the hamster wheel of pinpoint imaging, ultra-rez and ultra-wide frequency bandwidth when it did not get you where you wanted to go.
ACTUAL HELPFUL CONTENT that will take you to the next chapter in you audiophile journey. ENJOY! 🚀
I hope you find my videos useful and instructive. You can show your appreciation through Buy me a coffee, which is a simple uncomplicated way (no subscription needed) to donate as low as 2$ to keep this channel as much ad-free as RU-vid allows.
I understand that YT adds a few ads on its own accord, on which YT collects ALL royalties (I get none.) Yet, were I to monetize the channel, the number of ads would sky-rocket and would be very disruptive to your viewing experience.
To keep my videos as ad-free as possible, I welcome your kind support through Buy me a coffee.
I spend a considerable amount of my time (and resources) to run this channel. I have NO SPONSORS, get NO KICK-BACKS, nor deals of any kind with any manufacturer, your kind support goes a very long way to help me to keep this channel going!

I appreciate every kind gesture. Also, through Buy me a coffee you can message me, and I prioritize answering the Buy me a coffee messages.
Greetings, János

Very interesting take, Janos! My short experience seems to go along this as well. I am finally having a blast again listening to vinyl with my newly added Trumpet MM that has only few hours on it! It together with the(not so old) tube amp are together giving a "life" to vinyl that I never heard before in my system 😊

Hi Janos, this is a great video because it makes us think (well, at least me) about the topic at hand. I would like to weigh in on something I heard you saying a few times now. That is that modern speakers and modern amplifiers are not made for turntables. And I agree with that, so far as that it is unlikely you will get most out of your turntable with modern equipment hooked up to it. What I don't think is that modern equipment has been designed for modern DACs at the expense of turntables. I think a vintage ladder DAC, like a TDA-1541 will also sound better on tube equipment with a full range driver. Though a modern delta sigma DAC may be disappointing on this equipment. But what is going on is that on one hand there is a trend to make smaller speakers, enabled by the ease to build high powered amplifiers. And on the other hand sigma delta DACs became the de-facto industry standard, because ladder DACs are more expensive to make and a pain in the a$$ from a process perspective. With these developments it became more problematic to make music sound musical, thus progress (for the sake of progress) was made to make it sound "High End". Then it was only a matter of gas-lighting the end user and re-writing history (as to what it used to sound like) to the point that the way music used to sound has become a niche. Any way, that is my take on it :)

We only should amplify the signal that is absolutely necessary and develope easy to drive speakers and cone materials, based on natural wood like real instruments. 50-90dB listening session volumes should be our main focus. In the first I was unhappy about my generated soundstage regarding my system, but as time gone by I realized that the whole purpose of musical complexity is to give us the sense that the whole masterpiece morphs into 1 big monster where every single instrument becomes alive. Dissecting instruments from each other is a totally wrong concept.

Take a very good microphone .................air and go outside and record the outside air and life ......record alternatively with a digital recorder and a pro tape recorder ........... olay them back on your system .................;even if one is perfectly clean and seemingly audiophile grade sound but ...........with the other there is life in the air ...

Very easy Janos............whenever I forget I am listening to a reproduction because my finger refuses to zap before the last note of the song ends it's last breath .........and that doesn't happen necessary with the highest performance and expensiveaudiophile grades ............as soon as I am ablevto analyze a performance I know something is fundamentaly wrong .......being impressed or deceived instead of connecting and forget about the system ........ Serenity and kind of joy of the soul versus excitement of the brain.......
