If you’re not hearing dings of critical hits during this fight, you’re doing it wrong. They accompany the music so nicely and fit so well.

And so, the last battle between an alchemist who's lost himself in the making of a cure, against a tyrant king who brought the island to ruin for almost the thrill of it. However the battle decides to end, one thing is for certain.... There is no escape from this hell they live in.

This is honestly one of the best final boss themes I've ever heard.

Need a mod that gives this guy Medics voicelines. Imagine he impales you and just says “oops, zat was not medicine!”

I was spoiled of the fight but at the time it didn't matter. I thought "getting to 5bc is a fever dream lmao" "me getting to the collector fight? Not a chance" And just now... I finally FINALLY got to fight him. For my first try I got incredibly far (I used Repeater Crossbow) but I ended up dying. But the thought of finally getting to this boss is EXHILIRATING. And the theme? OH MY LORD! The beginning part is enough to send chills down to your spine. It really slaps you in the face and yells "THIS IS IT! ALL YOUR EFFORTS HAVE AMOUNTED TO THIS! JUST ONE FINAL BOSS AND YOU'RE DONE." Such a great game man. Such a great game.

The bosses of Dead Cells often have their attacks foreshadowed by the enemies of the level that preceded them. The Concierge's flame blade attack is first demonstrated to us in the Sweeper, Conjunctivius's tentacles are seen in the ancient sewers, Time Keeper's lightspeed dash in Clock Tower's automatons, and Hand of the King's ground slam and shield bash in the Royal Guard. The Collector has a similar enemy in those annoying-ass Librarians and the slightly-less-annoying Magistrates of Death. They showcase the downwards death ray and screen-wide tornadoes respectively. However, a lot of the Collector's attacks also seemed like enhanced versions of other enemy attacks. He has a ground slam reminiscent of the Golem, death orbs that act like sped-up Inquisitor blasts, a syringe tornado similar to the Lacerator's tornado, and even his lunge attack reminds me of the Lancer. The game has actually been foreshadowing the Collector fight for a while, but because he's hidden behind 5 boss cells and a whole lot of pain, most people don't even realize it.

I really love the Prisoner's Awakening callback at 0:55, great touch. I admit I shamelessly looked up videos of this fight since I'm currently having trouble clearing 2BC with the new enemies right now. I'd like to make it to 5BC eventually.

The 5BC boss' soundtrack has a 5/4 time signature. So fitting it gives me chills!

I recently just beat this guy. I’m so proud of myself.

I didn't think you'd top Clock Tower, but this is now my favourite piece in the entire game, and one of overall favourite OSTs. It has everything: the Dead Cells spirit, epic final boss feel well fitted into a fast pace, stylish callbacks to other tracks...perfect. Special praise for the percussion accenting, it really makes for the cherry on top.

Best boss fight theme ever

Genuinely never would had imagined i would ever get to hear this ingame as i always thought myself bad at it. And now as of yesterday, i finally completed 5bcand got to hear this in its full glory. Edit: i flawlessed the Collector on my second try and now my hands hurt (again)

You guys have no idea how much different this hits when playing this game on a touchscreen. If controller/mkb 5BC is Hell, then touchscreen is Hell++. Update: White King Outfit on Touchscreen. I’m officially finished with the game.

I did all the previous difficulties by trying and failing and trying again, but for 5bc I decided to use custom mode just to give myself health fountains in between levels. For anyone who is struggling to even reach the end of 5bc, I recommend just turning on health fountains. It’s a good way to experience the exclusive content, and it’s also really the only way to practice the collector, since he takes basically no damage from anything in the practice room. In order to experience his phases, you need to reach the op state at the end of a 5bc run. I’m still trying for normal mode 5bc, but I haven’t even made it past time keeper. Also- a tip for HoTK is that you just have to be sufficiently stressed, as every time I beat him in custom it was because my stress gave me god gamer powers for a minute and a half. Every time I beat him on 5bc it has been by the skin of my teeth.

dead cells was prolly one of my mosy worth it purchases i made, period. And this theme certainly helps that

I beat the collector a couple of days ago, and today I beat him twice. Best boss in the game imo, with the best moment in the game. The music perfectly timed with the final phase and the panacea drop. Best moment of the whole game

The entire game was a waiting room

me having a stroke after I realize that the giant is not actually the true final boss: 3:30 (the trumpets are me screaming as I realize that my eternal doom is not over) (I live in the don't strave world)

I finally did it guys. I finally fucking did it. I may still be stuck in an eternal loop of hell, but atleast I finally killed The Collector. This was probably the hardest game I've ever played, holy shit. I almost died a couple of times throughout the fight, but the Giantkiller I'd brought with me since the clocktower, along with ice armor actually really helped! My full loadout was the giantkiller, spiked shield, powerful grenade, and ice armor.

I have still yet to beat the collector for the 2nd time. And that's on a custom run made much easier than normal.

Got to the final final boss, went "I've come too far to die here," died to the first 3 hits. I love Dead Cells.

i abused how the allowed deaths options in assist mode worked and made it so the song just, stopped playing, instead being replaced by what plays before you enter the boss room. still goes incredibly hard

For anybody trying to get to this boss fight you can try this method it works for me but I’m not sure it will help you but anyway use custom mode and use the shotgun cross bow with the big explosion grenade and play on 5bc also if you die on ps4 quit the game and close application supposedly when I do this i can try again where I left off and don’t have to go back to start but yeah try this if you find this useful
