Glad I made a make shift green house for my peppers. I was able to go out and pick some for soups and stews after a week of cold days and frosty nights.😋 One soup was cabbage.

I used to work with an older woman, about the seventies. she was probably in her seventies, used to tell me when your garden is heavy and fruitful and very beautiful all the way up to Winter it usually means a heavy cold winter.

Picked my first head of cabbage here in GA. Growing a mini variety of cabbage. Broccoli is beginning to make heads now. Beets and carrots are doing well. Rutabagas will be ready soon. Planting garlic next week! Keeping my fingers crossed!!😊

My grandparents taught us to leave brussels and kale till after the first frost. The brussels taste better after as the frost does something to the sugar in them

Hello Andrew , what’s up this is the first video I seen for awhile what happened. Miss seeing everyone you all make my day special. Come on more often even if it’s repeats of the same thing . I like to see all the things about cleaning up greenhouses and starting planting and grandma cooking girls sacking up goodies and Callie doing her best to help. Miss all the potato harvesting . I wear the thin brown gloves then put a pair of the yellow cleaning rubber gloves over top. Still thin enough for dexterity but yet keeps the brown gloves dry. ❤. Yummmmmmm on the potatoes! ❤❤❤❤❤

A few video's ago you showed cutting corn with a chain saw, and you mentioned a machine that would do that...Well they are called a corn binder (at least around here), pull it with a tractor, one row at a time, it cuts the corn, then gathers a number of stocks together, and then ties it with twine, then it goes on the bed of the machine, that, a person riding the machine, triggers it, and then it unload the corn shocks.....you usually make a row across the field, then you go out and pick up the shocks and make a self standing shock....that would be quite an attention geter....Imagine a couple of them in the front of the farm market, and then pumpkin lined up around the big shock......I saw one on big iron, rebuilt for $2500...but look around in people shelter belts, and you can find one, and then restore....good luck and enjoy !!!

If you had a tough plastic sheet down on the ground before your harvester dumps them on the ground you could take the basket and scoop them up with out any soil getting into the basket

35 years working on the roof in all seasons,scuba diving gloves keep your hands the warmest and driest,they are prone to wear though so try and protect them with brown jersey gloves

An easy way to get some veggies in the freezer, next time you make dinner with roasted veggies just cut up extra and microwave blanch for about 3-4 minutes, cool, bag, and freeze. It's something I've done for years, makes life simpler.
