+randolph patterson I used heavy duty kitchen scissors. I tried using offset tin snips first, but the thick cutting blades just got in the way, so I used thinner kitchen scissors and that is not easy, but it works.
so they are putting skirting on top of the siding and calling it good? no z bar or anything? Bad job. Something has to come from behind the siding and out side of the skirting to shed moisture. Otherwise you will eventually be doing what I am doing now. Which is cutting off the ends of the siding on the bottom because they are rotten, patching that back in and putting up something that works right.
I'm using roof shingles under the bottom rail and let it stick out about a half ince it should keep weekeater and lawnmowers away but next time if I have to do it I will use something heaveier
