My Pitch for time periods and their assassins (some are similar to yours, most aren't): English Civil War: We play as Lord William Sutton, a Templar attempting to manipulate the Monarchy and control how England's army will progress. However, he becomes disillusioned with the Templar way, instead joining the Assassins as an inside man, working alongside Cromwell to take out the monarchy. Features heavy political intrigue and the sudden switching of sides. WW1: We play as Natalia Tolstaya, a Russian woman of the working class who got recruited by Vladimir Lenin (neutral in wider conflict) after he recognised her potential. After assisting with the Russian Revolution, Natalia learned of the Brotherhood from an ally she encountered along the way. She proceeded to join them, heading to German occupied France, Indian regiments, a brief stint in Egypt and finally back to Russia after the war, where she is involved with Lenin's death, and inadvertently the appointment of Stalin. Spanish Inquisition: We play as Lucia de Trueva in 1500s Spain. She is a Catholic who lost her brother (an assassin) to the Templar controlled Spanish Inquisition, and the influenced Monarchy and nobility. Lucia discovers the assassins in hiding have no plans to avenge her fathers death, so she goes rogue from them and takes action to do it herself. WW2: Unique experience. We play as three different characters. Justine Chabert, a French barmaid who now acts as a freedom fighter in German-occupied France for the assassins (focusing on the parkour, aggressive and brutal assassination aspect). Silvestro Cicchino, a high-ranking Templar figure within the Italian government, who is secretly an assassin spy (focusing on infiltrations and stealthy assassinations). Hamish MacCulloch, a retired Scottish assassin who is now a drunk street thug, although is the secret "spy-hunter" of Britain, looking for German agents within Parliament and the military (focusing on the information gathering, allocating recourses and working out who you can trust). Each one has their own gameplay and missions, with how they well they do impacting on each other, as the Templars become more nervous. They all trade information between each other through radios and all have their own unique villains and stories. American Civil War: We play as Phoebe Brannon, who has a weird psychic link with some kind in extra dimensional creature, which she calls Love, which teaches her to be an assassin. As the Civil War breaks out, Love guides Phoebe to support neither side, guiding her to stoke the fires of both sides so the hate destroys each other. This leads to Phoebe breaking away from the entity, supporting Lincoln and helping take down the South, although discovers Templars and Assassins hold influence on both sides. Elizabethan England: We play as Sabir Quince, an orphaned Moroccan adopted into English custom by white parents as a worker within their fancy home. Upon discovering his employers were Templars who orchestrated his parents and communities death, he flees, joining Shakespeare as a stagehand whilst secretly training to be an assassin in a secret hideout underneath the Globe Theatre to prevent Templar spread. Cold War: We play as Elliot Burton, a NYC police officer in training. However, life takes a turn when he is recruited into the Assassin order (then known as the CIA) to help preserve American culture within the Red Scare, a mask for Templars and Soviets to secretly enter American society. Elliot must learn the ways of the assassin to assist in defeating these invading forces, helping Presidents from Truman to Regan in a desperate attempt to help save the fate of the USA.

ive said this across many different comment sections talking about this topic but Fall of the Western Roman Empire would be a perfect time period. 1. Location: The city of Rome itself would be a thing to behold since it would have been in decay but before its ultimate destruction. Many of the temples and such would have been active if some gold stripped and such. From there you could see an immediate change into the countryside in say Gaul where the Germanic migrants would have been forced to live in appalling conditions which ill get too in a minute. 2. Story Potential: If you'd place a game at the time of Honorius (so think total war attila) You would see the mentioned Germanic migrants starved and exploited by corrupt roman officials. Which is perfect potential for villians and an elaborate organization from the shadows. This organization could also be behind a lot of the bloat and corruption in the WRE itself so itd have broad effects and mean a broad story like AC II. Beside that you could also use the invasion of Attila as a sort of midgame shakeup where you have to side with the corrupt Romans to prevent the Hidden Ones and Order from both falling. (spoilers) Cooperations like with Connor and Haytham was loved and brought about a lot of interesting points between the two sides then so why not here? From Attila and into a late game you could explore how the Hidden Ones collapsed in Europe as was a focus in Valhalla. It would be interesting to see an Established Hidden Ones system in Rome go much in the same way as the Empire. Powerful, Shaken, then Fallen and to explore an assassin throughout it all from a teen to an old man would be amazing. 3. Gameplay: of course have it natural but it would also be a really good outlet to dispel myths about Late Rome. The Late Roman army was very skilled and powerful but suffered from a lot of factors from the inside and outside. I think it would also be a fun way of using conquest battles in Odyssey for a better and more plot focused manner in the Battle of the Catalaunian Plains but massive and terrifying. What do you guys think? It will probably never happen but it would make for some great story potential :)

This is gonna be a bit of a unique take, but Im suprised nobody really mentions an AC game taking place in the 1960's, 70's or even the 1980's. Or a game taking place between all three decades, the height of consumerism and the cold war would also make a really interesting setting.

Mentioning the War of the Roses actually made me think about what an AC story set during the Hundred Years' War would look like. Two major powers going at it, and two different assassin groups working behind the scenes. Would there be a "clearly right" side, or would the two branches be at odds? It'd be interesting if your assignment was to take out other assassins that support the "wrong" side. It'd probably have to wait for the final game in the series, but playing through the time when the Forerunners (or whatever they're called, I'm drawing a blank right now) were in control. See what was going on then, maybe even play as humans trying to escape the Forerunner's control.
@IronsideGeorge

I definitely think the Spanish/Portuguese conquistadors arrival in South America would be an incredible setting for AC, we could be sent with the conquerors to hunt a piece of Eden then change sides and help the natives, I would say play as a native but that’s very close to the story of AC3 so I think being an Assassin or Templar sent to this new continent has more potential The US Civil War would be interesting but I think the Prohibition era has a lot more potential! New Orleans, New York and Chicago could be the main cities with maybe a side mission or finale in LA/Hollywood, there’s so much violence and desperation in these times with the Wall Street crash etc I think this would be fascinating I would love to see the war of the roses as the first in a trilogy in England, a sequel in Elizabeth’s era and the ending around the civil war, about 200 years of history might seem odd for a trilogy but if they revolved around several families and their descendants maybe with a piece of Eden too that could be incredible to see, the story could really build up the dynamics between these families so maybe they’re on opposite sides in roses but work together under Elizabeth then against each other again in civil there is a lot of potential here

@RyanHerrmann-r5e
@RyanHerrmann-r5e 2 месяца назад
My only problem with the prohibition idea is that the US is such a large country and many of the interesting characters are in completely different areas. Bonnie and Clyde were in the South, Capone was in Chicago and Luciano was New York. A DLC might work, but the main game would most likely have to be in Brooklyn and Manhattan.
@hoosierboys8752
@hoosierboys8752 10 месяцев назад
I just… I just really want a sequel for Connor. He deserves a trilogy. His ending in the game is just so… meaningless. He fought so hard for freedom, and for the rights of his people and for all men and women. Only to, once the British are scared off, see the slave trade happening right before his eyes. And then his people are gone. They’ve moved on. I understand there are various opinions and views on this, and it’s subjective to everyone, but I feel the ending of ACIII just made everything we playing as Connor fought for, nothing. I understand, that’s how history happens and works - we all know what happened obviously. But when presented in the format it was, it just felt so disheartening and demeaning. But yeah the American Civil War would also be freakin BALLER. I also think 1692 Salem Massachusetts during the witch trials would be amazing too. Think about it - templars posing as religious leaders, burning people at the stake claiming them witches when in reality they’re searching for an Isu sage. OR OR, it’s religious figures led by Basim/Loki (after his mirage game to really give you conflicting feelings) hunting down the reincarnation of Odin just to brutalize him. Or you know whatever alternate AC history you could think of
@IronsideGeorge
@IronsideGeorge 10 месяцев назад
100% Connor deserves a second game, Bayek too. I actually saw the Crucible on stage recently which is set in 1692 during the trials. That would be such a great period, really dark and eery. Good ideas dude.

I would love to see an AC game set in the Wild West. My idea is that you play as a young assassin who moves to Nevada with their to help their father expand his business as a lawyer. However, you eventually cross paths with the Assassin’s and find out that the Templars have created a pact with both the United States government and the outlaws of the west in the hopes of gaining influence with either manifest destiny or with fear tactics of the criminal underworld. It is up to you, the brotherhood, and the Native American tribes to put a stop to both of them and become both a legendary assassin and bounty hunter, as well as trying to take away a piece of Eden in possession by the Templars in the form of the Golden Plates and Seer Stones once possessed by Templar Joseph Smith. The game can feature figures such as Billy the Kid, Buffalo Bill, L Frank Baum, Crazy Horse, and PT Barnum; and would place a heavy focus on natural landmarks to climb on like the Grand Canyon and Arches National Park rather then man-made landmarks (similar to what 3 did).
@IronsideGeorge

Love it, would it be a very gun focused AC game though? I feel like it would have to be. (I wouldn’t mind them going in they direction though - you could also have missions where hon have to not alert anyone or only have your hidden blade too)
@jh66444
@jh66444 10 месяцев назад
@@IronsideGeorge I’d imagine it would be similar to the gun mechanics in Syndicate, since that game is set around the same time period as the Wild West. Also, this would be set prior to the invention of automatic weapons, so there wouldn’t be any hand-held machine guns or anything; also there could be a mechanic where if you stay behind cover for too long that an enemy will come up to you and attack you with melee weapons instead of guns. One final thing is that they could use historical accuracy to it’s advantage since the Wild West wasn’t as violent as most media portrays it (heck, side arms were even banned in some areas).

For me this idea may take like another 10 years to compete 😂. But I would like to see more time periods where free will is good like an assassin taking out colonizers in Africa and asia in the 1900s, scramble for Africa and stuff. However they make another game that shows the Templar side like let’s say templars are Soviet Russia and you on there side and it shows the player how the assassins free Will idea contradicts what they do because you know all these cia operations from the US and stuff. But before all this, we did a WW1 and WW2, and ancient Japan or Japan during the Meiji restoration. All in all, it would be cool if they kept finding events in history that shows where free will is right, while other events in history show that the idea of free will contradicts itself because they using order for free will to make peace. And then one day they manage to find a balance in modern day or something like that. But a perfect assassins creed would be mansa musa rule of Mali in the 1200s. That would be a great one because he got all that money and gotta decide between free will or order and peace because assassins and templars would be swaying him.

Ultimately an AC game that focuses more on someone genuinely stopping bad people rather than Templars/pieces of Eden?That sort of thing? 😛 Just think, they’ve made 10 games and loads of spin offs in like 15 years, just think what we’ll have in another 15 years!

What you're failing to realise is that Ubisoft have a core audience of United States, UK and Europe. Countries where Anglo Saxon history is taught (because it's our history), therefore it's relatable to those people because it's time periods and battles that we know/are taught about. So why wouldn't people want to play a game where they get to live in a reimagined version of our history? Having said that, AC started off with the Italian Renaissance, they have an Arabian setting, an Egyptian setting, a Greek setting and soon to be a Japanese/Samurai setting. Some more for u - Arthurian times, with an emphasis on Knights. Seeing as we've already had England and Ireland, and Scotland would work for s Celtic game, this one should take us to Wales. You're protagonist is a young Knight sent by his Farher (who's in the Order of the Ancients) to serve Arthur, however he switches sides to the hidden ones. Key characters would include Arthur and his Knights of the round table as well as Merlin, who could have Isu connections and Mordred as the main villain. 1st DLC would feature the immortal Black Knight who's using Isu armor, second DLC is a prequel, focusing on the protagonists father, how he became a Knight during the reign of Vortigern and feature the Welsh and Saxon Dragons. - Samoan island, just a really cool culture and I think travelling throughout the islands sounds fun. - Ancient Mesopotamia, the golden age of Babylon and the birthplace of civilisation. Gilgamesh and Enkidu are key characters.

Hell yes to the 1st idea! You should read the Warlord Chronicles by Bernard Cornwell (also writes the last Kingdom series) - it’s basically exactly as you’ve described, following a character called Derfel, who is like Arthur’s right hand man. Lancelot, Merlin, Guinevere etc are all in it. Why didn’t I think of that!

If King Arthur ever lived he would have lived during the fifth century or something like that, which far precedes the existance of knights.

So I'm a Pacific Islander, and I would really love to have a AC in the islands! so my thoughts are to have it during the times of Captain James Cook a Templar (1768-1979) he made 3 voyages to Australia, NZ, Tonga, Samoan, etc. To find an apple of eden and a DLC could be 100 years later of a descendant of the Assassin of Capt. Cooks time taken kidnapped thru Blackbirding and forced to rebel of the slavery then!

The two I like most would be working as an assassin apart of the French resistance in WW2 or an abolitionist during the civil war. COD WW2 had a mission where u we’re doing espionage for the French resistance and it felt pretty similar to an AC game in way so they could take inspiration from that and as for the civil war theme they can look at the story of John brown and take inspiration from that.

Uhm...I'm a fan of parkour in AC Creed, so I need a city. Obviously missing from your list? Ancient Rome itself. We're going for the jugular here. There's a lot of history there with a whole Empire and many interesting characters. An ambitious project though...If we return to France (which is Ubisoft's domain after all) I want a Musketeers story and a Hero in the Ðartagnan (main protagonist of Alexandre Dumas's books) style at the apogee of Cardinal De Richelieu's political influence and scheming plans. Now, that would be insanely great. I was also teased by the Dark Ages/Middle Ages snipets we got. I wanted more Templars in AC1 and teased again in Unity with Jacques DeMolay. A full-on Crusade Epic story? Oooo!
@IronsideGeorge
@IronsideGeorge Год назад
Yo - I would expect all of my suggestions to have cities in them! The Trojan War would obviously focus around Troy, but WW1 ideally Berlin, America during prohibition either New York or Chicago, the rest hopefully would span lots of cities! Love the Roman Empire suggestion! Love the Musketeers suggestion! Love the Crusade Suggestion! You’re going to make me want to make a second video about this 😛

If Rome I would actually go with the Roman Republic during the Punic Wars. The main focus of the game would be Sicily, but you can also go to Rome and Carthage.

For me a good AC game would be somthing that's played between the 800-900s, in Hungary, as that time they were wandering in into Europe, and our character could be part of the Hungarians, or the one defending the locals from them, either way in my opinion the game would be great with big meadows, some forests, smaller villages and potencially bigger castles.

I would love an ac game during the Roman Empire. I know origins was but I’m talking about one set in Italy with a Roman assassin. There could be a mission where you assassinate Caligula or Tiberius or even Nero. Would be really fun!

As much as I'd like to see an AC game set during Trojan War, it's probably impossible and there are 2 reasons : 1. What worked in 3 hours movie wouldn't probably work in 30+ hours game, there is too few things to do on such a small territory, gameplay would sometimes just be sitting in camp or city and doing nothing or doing just waves of unsuccessful attacks 2. I doubt there will ever be AC game set before Odyssey, because Odyssey is set during lifetime of the first user of hidden blade and I don't think anyone ideologically close to assassins/hidden ones would exist before that (excluding humans from Isu times 75 000 years ago), also the order of ancients was founded barely 100 years before Trojan War, so they are still not that influential to wage wars My favourite one is definitely Aztecs, we already have AC Project Legacy that touches on that subject, but I think Ubisoft can use this time period for a mainline game I, as a Pole, would also add Polish Golden Age (16th/17th century) in that list, because Poland was one of the most powerful countries in Europe and we fought endless wars with Swedes, Russians, Cossacks and Ottomans during that time period, so it could be a nice setting
