Though this method is destructive, you simply have to duplicate the audio files you want to work with in advance in a finder window and change the filename to something like Acapella_Dup to denote that you're not affecting the source file.
I'm confused with logic's warp algorithms, Ableton does have complex pro and beats algorithms and you can also adjust them manually, e.g. formant or envelope velocity, so there's no artefacts in vocals ... Why doesn't logic allow you to change any algorithms manually? I can hear distinct artefacts in that vocal, but in ableton i could fix it with formant and envelope controller on the clip's settings
It's just because the time algorithms Ableton uses are way Superior than any other DAW and that's why so many beat makers who primarily work on samples use it. It's just really has a great algorithm built in
How to extend the duration of a song from 5 minutes to 15 minutes. In Adobe Audition you could do that easily and what Audition does is it puts seamless cuts in between to lengthen the audio. Can we do the same in Logic Pro X?
Really? You comparing a professional DAW which is used by Proffessional produces with a home DAW. Have you ask yourself why Proffessional producers such as Dr Dre, Kanye West, Drake etc don't use Fruity Loops?. It's not even installed in those Proffessional Studios.

Command+Option+L works great for me and its fast. (The repeat bar marks where the sample ends instead of having an audio sample that is slightly longer or shorter than the bpm of the track.
You realize you can count the amount of beats/bars in the acapella or sample, drag bpm up or down till the region size is close to being the length of how ever many bars/beats of the sample that you chopped. You can then simply hold the "option" key allowing u to manually click and stretch the tail of the region to the appropriate number of bars chopped. Boom time stretched. Flex can be used at that point to clean things up. But theres really no need to use bpm counters as long as you know how to count beats/bars of the samples that you chop. Hope this helps.
After making your beginning/ending cuts around the correct number of bars, move bpm till region size fits the number of bars cut. Hold option key to click and snap the tail to the respective amount of bars.
When doing this, you destroy the original audio file, so back it up first. After changing the tempo there are sort of bumps in the audio file. This happens in the example here. Experiencing it myself and no way to revert from there.
@@francescorenna The original audio file is modified, so you lose the version before the modification. Of course, you can make a copy of the audio file before even touching it, but if you don'tm I don't know if performing sort of a reverse operation would fix it. My guess is it wouldn't. Would be worth trying.

Is there a way to click on 4 parts of a song that measures the 4 ticks in a bar, and automatically moves the sample up and down with the tempo changes in the project?
When I click on function is the option for time and pitch isn’t there it just says rename regions selection base processing apply selection base processing apply default Crossfade or show audio in folder it doesn’t say anything about time stretching
Other than Paulstretch are there any good time stretch plugins that can really stretch stuff out into a nice sounding pad without the flutter artifact in there?
Cool stuff! Anyway to "Humanize" Drum Loops with subtle tempo drifting....IE: tempo is set at 90 bpm and you set it to randomly drift up and down a few bpm?
ok so say I have an old track (say disco, rock, or a live recording) where the tempo isn't fixed at say, exactly, 120.00BPM (it fluctuates throughout the track). The way I used to "fix" the tempo and use it in cubase, is by chopping the entire track (or just the parts I wanted to use) into little 4-beat, or 8-beat, pieces (depending on how inaccurately spaced the beats were). Then I would time-strech each little part by selecting the snap-to-beat option and then dragging each little part to time-strectch it to the arrangement's grid line (which I had previously set to the tempo I wanted the remix to be). When I finished time-streching each little part then each beat of the the track would be in perfect sync with the rest of the tracks in the arrangement. Can I do this too in LPX too? Or is there a better/faster/simpler way to do this in LPX? The ideal way to do this (I guess) would be to be able to manually go into the track editor and manually add markers at the precise point each downbeat begins, and when you're finished setting all the markers, then LPX would automatically change the tempo of this track (using your markers as "anchors") whenever you changed the tempo of the arrangement! :) Nothing like this exists in LPX, right?
Been trying this on some drum tracks. It works great on tracks with steady signal but any thing with sparse hits like the toms doesn’t line up right. Any ideas?
Need proof that the attention span and IQ of people nowadays is very low? Just browse these comments. I imagine these are the type of people who aren't going to cut it in the industry. People who don't pay attention won't learn. The fact they don't realize how important the first 5 mins are goes to show how novice they are.

it's really not people being stupid though, it's more that when you're at the point of needing these techniques as a Logic Pro X user, you more likely already know all the basic info he's providing during most of the first 5 minutes. Yes, it's important, but how the hell do you not know at this point that you need to know the bpm you're working with, and the fact that if you abuse the time stretch it's going to sound bad. It's entirely too obvious for most of the people watching this. Also, he could've delivered that info much faster.

Also, how do you go and talk for 5 minutes about knowing the bpm you're working with which is obvious, but you don't mention this is an entirely destructive process :( just ruined a bunch of clips
