@@MelissaThompson432 Nothing to do with Hugging :-) And yes it is unfair.. he can obviously hear at some level but Tony and Francis both write in their books/blogs that he is "deaf as a post" and there are comments in several videos about him not hearing well. People who are hard of hearing often come across as somewhat autistic and they most definitely are not on the scale.
@@MaryAnnDaniell makes sense. It's not that he "comes off as" autistic; I've gotten pretty good at identifying the cocked-elbow stance and duckling walk and the alert but slightly puzzled facial expression that are subtle cues to ASD, and he doesn't compellingly exhibit any of them. It's the air of "I'm sociable but I don't trust your motives," in this instance in particular coupled with the autistic aversion to unsolicited touch that prompted me to make the comment. I tend to look for "people like me," online and in media. I suppose it's due to spending my life being "different."
