Beautiful collection, just subscribed! Also good advice about the fertilizer, I have a sedeveria ‘letizia’ that’s in bloom and I want to collect seeds from it so I plan on fertilizing it the next time it needs water so it has everything it needs to make beautiful flowers and seeds!
Is interesting you mentioned that because I’m in the process of collecting various seeds myself. One of the things you have to do is pollinate the flowers and you can do this with a paintbrush, and also you need to find out if the plant your pollinating is a self pollinator or if you need to use the pollen from another plant, which of course would create a hybrid. From what I understand, most echeveria are not self pollinators, so unless you have two of the same kind blooming at the same time to pollinate each other, you’d have to make a hybrid of some sort. I don’t know if Letizia is the same or not. Maybe I can do a video on it.
I liked your video on Fertilizer. I have the granulated little pellets. What are your thoughts? I can start now or wait? I love your collection of cactus and succulents. You have a lot started. Hope to see you post again soon.
I like the pellets okay too. Only reason I don’t use them is cause that if the plant goes dormant and it keeps getting the fertilizer while dormant. It may not hurt anything, but I’ve never tried it. As far as when to start, it depends if your plants have started actively growing. Mine have, but I live in the south

Yes, I am still using the systemic granules, but I have couple plants that I have noticed still get mealies. I’ve been reading that if you use it too often, they can become immune to it. I’m now debating a trial of insecticidal soap. I’ve also read certain things like hydrogen peroxide will kill mealy eggs in the soil. Haven’t tried it yet
Would love for you to do a snip plant I also have a few succulents that I planted in a glass pot when I first started collecting succulents they are not the best soil and they are been doing great for a year but I want to repot them separately and I’m afraid they will die if I do that they sit in my window that is south east all day any advice would really be appreciated Kazz
What do you mean by doing a snip plant? Do you mean you want me to do a video on taking cuttings of the plants? Also, I don’t think your plants will die. If you get them out of there and repot them, you just need to make sure you get some roots with each plant that you pull out. When I first started, I made some arrangements in a glass bowl with no drainage holes because I didn’t know any better and believe it or not. It’s been many years and it’s still doing just fine. I’m just careful about watering. As far as how often I fertilize, I honestly do it every few months but during the time that they are actively growing, you could definitely do it once a month. Most commercial facilities do it pretty often. I just forget. Anyway, let me know about the video and thanks!!
I have never fertilized my succulents so I’m nervous they will die also I just bought 3 more succulents and would love to put them together in one pot but don’t know if they have the same watering needs light needs I think they will be okay because I don’t overwater my succulents
