Time to Forage. It's ChokeCherry Season!

Today we take a little trip to forage for wild chokecherries. Come along and see some of our beautiful countryside and see how easy it is to get what is provided to us by the land. Chokecherries are real easy to gather and are supposed to have many health benefits. There are many wild edible plants out there, this is just one that we forage for. This is just one more part of our simple living lifestyle.

What state and city are you in, I am a Florida resident. Are the berries sweet? Do you haveany seeds for the cherries to sell?

We are in south central Nebraska (no city near us, LOL). The berries themselves are not sweet, but we usually turn them into syrup and jelly! I do know some people who just like to eat them though... Thank you for watching!

Also, I am so sorry I didn't answer your seed question. I do not have any seeds right now. I juiced all of the cherries. If I go out and get some more berries I could save some. Chokecherry seeds need to go through cold stratification. They need to be refrigerated for about 3 months before planting.
