YMTC video. Think he missed the shot being released. I think it was prior to the horn and light.

7:32 - Greg, you mention spot throw-in indicated by Trail official, which is correct. Good focus on "where's our crew at man", as I had missed that! My focus was on the fact that A1 inbounder throws to A2 OOB on the other side of the key, then A2 throws the ball in play. With spot throw-in, I believe that should have killed the play right there, violation. Thoughts?

Yes. That is the point of the entire clip. Throw-in violation that MUST BE CALLED!

Last clip was great. The only complaint I had was the travel on the center at 56:06... but he missed.

Play #1 - Ball leaves player hands prior to the horn. - Count the basket. -- However, I do think the official should conferred with the trailing official afterwards.

I disagree on the displacement. That is nothing more and nothing less. Feet on the ground, and he gets bumped back. I would expect an armbar, something pushback, but apparently the player has foul trouble or the ref didn't call, but *it*is*wrong* to nocall. Because the player cannot do anything. It shows the previous time when he reached -- there is nothing he could do. Now, it seems the refs didn't call offensive fouls that hard -- the previous action probably should've been one as well. So they're calling a fair line. I would've expected the white center to bang more, as it was really weird defense. Nevertheless, great officiating on the whole.

First of all, great show! Lots of things to learn from you! Just a small question on the play at ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-SJOOPRKzoGU.html (and in one of the other videos as well): the throw-in is situated in front court, and is passed to a player in the back court. Isn't that a clear back court violation? I know there are differences in the rules in the US when it comes to high school, college or NBA, and some of the rules applied by the FIBA over here in Europe. I only officiate youth games (8 to 11 year old kids) in Belgium, and according to the rules that apply to those games, that looks a lot like a back court violation. Is it simply a difference in rules, or do I misunderstand the rules on that play (perhaps because it's a throw-in after a time-out)? Thanks!

Under NFHS and NCAA rules, there is no violation for throwing it in from the frontcourt to the backcourt.

As Jesse points out, LEGAL using National Federation of High School Basketball Rules.

24:55 You mention 0.3 is not enough time to catch and shoot, what would be enough time then? PS: love the channel, just subscribed!

.4 or above. By rule, with .3 or less (.2, .1) a player cannot catch the ball and release a try. Thanks for subscribing!

@@BetterOfficials Thank you so much for your comment! Being a veteran player with 30 years of competition experience, it never even dawned to me this is the way things got officiated. So simple, yet so effective. Thank you for your content, I'm learning so much! Considering grinding through all of your videos to maximize learning 🙂
