I really enjoy these longer vlogs. They create a nice vibe and let one soak up the atmosphere. Thanks for taking us along and inspiring me to make taquitos.
I lived in Eureka for over 10 years. If you never lived in a small town, Ferndale is the place. Redwoods are beautiful. Air is fresh, I had asthma but living there made it go away. You can walk around the whole town, it’s that small. Enjoy
You make food anyway you want to make it! I like the way you made your taquitos- no vegetables! And I like the weirdos unite stickers by your stove from van city life! 🤣🤣
Fab vlog Scott ~ I love the longer ones as it's an excuse to sit down and relax for longer! As someone from Scotland it's lovely to see a chilled look into somewhere unfamiliar to me. So many travel vlogs are frenetic and OTT 💚
You really had a good day, 53 minute video 😂. And I watched the entire 53 minutes😂. Good to see anyone having a good day, simple or otherwise 👍👍 Life’s too short to only spend it worrying about crap we can’t change. Have fun⭐️⭐️
Thanks Scott for a long video!! It’s because of you that I go exploring to different areas! Mine are just day trips as I live in sticks and bricks, and have a family. I take my dog with me and go explore walking trails that allow dogs. I also visit coffee shops in the local areas. We’ve had a lot of rain this summer here in NH. Sometimes rain for an entire week! I’ll probably continue exploring this winter, as long as the roads are dry!!
I agree. Day trips and overnights are the perfect solution for those of us tied to jobs and stick and bricks. So much yard work and home repair project maintenance etc. Just having a day or two now and then to explore different scenery heals the soul.
I’m in the east coast right now since July 31, this is making me miss being home in California ! Thanks for sharing your recent adventure along the west coast!!!
Lovely video Scott. A few months back I texted my old college buddy Bob, who now lives in El Cerrito, and I asked him if he had ever visited the lost coast?" He texted me back this: I found it.
Scott this is so enjoyable seeing through your eyes and the way you give your listeners a feeling of being right where you are, experiencing the moments. 🙋♀️☕🌲
Absolutely beautiful scenery, thanks for taking us along! I too love pelicans, I think it’s neat how they fly across the water. I hear you with the price of gas, it hurts. Stay safe on your travels.
The beauty of that coastline is is not like anything I’ve ever seen. It is not totally static…with the waves it is ever changing. I love the constant sound off the water… the mighty pacific gives many gifts. Was in that area last month and the “Pelican parades” that went up and down the shoreline provided ongoing entertainment. I care.
I enjoyed the Taquito cooking segment, those were my favorite as a child too, i liked them them will Avocado sauce 😋 you really make some impressive meals for living in a Van 😊👍
Wow as you were saying the word Jurassic Scott I said it at exactly the same time..spooky lol 😂 excellent town and stunning beach 🏖️ absolutely love your Chanel Scott very relaxing to watch 😊
Hi Scott. I so enjoy your mild manner and friendly personality. I also really admire the intentionality with which you do everything. I aspire to a simpler and more relaxed pace of life some day, but in the meantime I watch your videos. Thank you for sharing your life experiences with us... it's very inspiring. Please keep up the wonderful work!
Things I like about you. Your real, honest, kind and you speak your mind! You take us on your adventures , I love it I feel like I'm right there with you!❤
As a Humboldt local do not worry about the Mattole road to Petrolia. You don’t need 4x4. It’s a paved county road that’s curvy and hilly but drivable in any dependable car. The Mattole Beach and River are worth the trip.
Hey Scott...great video. *I also finally found Yellowbird at Walmart in only smaller bottles. I live in nowhereville so at least I can buy it. * Taquitos were also my favorite meal as a kid and still love them! *I'm from CA and never heard of the Lost Coast. It's really beautiful. * I have those exact lighters and I just love them. They hold a charge forever and no more disposables that always break.
I was super excited to recently see Yellowbird in my local grocery (Kroger) in Ohio! The seranno is still less expensive on Amazon but I took the opportunity to try the sriracha this time. I enjoyed it. Thankfully the bottle size is 9.8 oz. I also recently visited San Diego and had my first In-N-Out burger and fries. Loved it too. So pretty much any food mentioned on your channel goes on my wish list! Haha 😊
I bought 3 in Texas one of them is habaneros n not bad. Larabars are great tasting and a cup of café fir the walkn, I do. So wonderful travelog with the oceans are breathtaking. Hmm, never thought of using toothpicks to make taquitos (good idea) a nice cup of coffee sounds good.
Some day I want to get lost when I get rid of this ball and chain from work! I had a vacation trip planned out to visit Northern California years ago and got layed off about that time and was unable to go, but I hope I can make it to the lost coast Some day soon. Thanks Scott for sharing your get lost video I really enjoyed it. Take care out there my friend!
25:47 Scott you get that Jurassic park feeling too, haha, same here every time while driving through the forest on truck trails , total Jurassic park vibes, almost surreal , love it. Thanks for getting us to the beach.
Thanks for these interesting and somewhat relaxing videos. Besides, I 'm not a fluent English speaker but I can still get everything you say, because you speak very clearly, so thanks for that too !
I like how you comment about the areas and different choices.your personality is natural and interesting for all the viewers.and i.feel like family good friend.👍
I highly recommend a device that looks like a writing pen, but it has a small magnet on the end to keep handy in your van. You simply wave it over the floor and the magnet will find that little screw for you. It comes in handy when you're doing repairs and drop other screws or even when you're doing repair sewing to help you find a dropped needle. I can't remember where I bought mine from but it sure comes in handy. It's no bigger than a writing pen 🖋 Also, I want you to know that I appreciate you sharing your life with us. ❤
I admire what you are doing by living in your van, that is hard to do for some people but I hope that one day I will be able to do that. Good luck and be safe, God bless. Austin Tx.
When the title was "Get lost" I knew you were going to the lost coast! So yes, I knew about the lost coast! And it's amusing that your standard is Taqitos (sp?) For most of my life my standard for Chinese food has always been fried rice. It's such a simple dish that most places get sloppy and it's not really worth it. A place that makes great fried rice, makes everything else really well too!
Hello Scott, I enjoy having your videos as my traveling companion when I commute to and from work. I live camping on my vehicle comfortably with a fan and power station. I just received my 12 volt refrigerator freezer. I got a smaller one than yours. Mine is 37 quarts which is enough for wjat I need. I like the lift out basket and so far it's easy to use. The compressor is quiet. I have 300 watts of portable solar panels. Enough for me for now. I was surprised that you generally only drive 5 or 10 miles a day for fuel conservation. But you seem to know lots of places to park overnight. Gas is 3.50 where I live. I try to plan day trips and overnight. Lots of places to visit that are rural and interesting attractions. I have personal protection ( firearm). Do you as well?
Hi you should stock up on your Yellow Bird! If i like something I buy a few ! Coffee is always 2 cups I love my coffee in the morning. My music and coffee. :))
Gotta give you props, So-Cal native now living on the other side of the world and was able to finally order some Yellow Bird ,serrano and habanero, going through them like water bro 😂 Very nice on everything.
Found your YT channel last week and I really love how relaxed it is. It really became one of my fav YT channels! Wish you all the best. Greetings from the Netherlands PS: Today I had to pay $8.02 for a gallon of gas. Please send some of your cheap stuff over 😁
Yikes!! Where are you paying $8.02 for gas?? I’m in NH, USA. Most stations in the area are about $3.75, but I know of a couple that are $3.39 a gallon.
@@terrilandry1313 It says where in my comment 😁 Netherlands, Europe. So probably a bit expensive for me to drive to New Hampshire for gas. Tbh, the $8.02 was on discount. Yesterday the normal price at a station next to the highway was €2.27 per liter. When you convert that into US$ and gallons you get US$ 9.24
