As an artist who traveled from NorCal, it ended up being whatever for me LOL. I’m definitely not mad though! Based on what other NorCal artists told me, I wasn’t expecting too much and instead turned this into a free vacation 😛 but it was so cool to explore and experience a new market and demographic! I learned a ton and left feeling super inspired by other brands and artists. And as always, it’s nice to see you and chat for a bit ❤ (SORRY FOR INTERRUPTING YOUR VLOG 😫)

So happy I got to meet and give you the painting at anime expo chibi! :) I flew from Mississippi to LA for a festival and drove an extra 2 hours just to see you and get back in time for the festival!! Hope you enjoyed the painting ❤️

Just recently found ur channel, and it’s been great to learn about cons from an artists perspective! I want to table within the next year or so, so these videos really help! Looking at local cons first before I go big to other states lol😊

Sheesh I’m so sorry they did everyone dirty with the tables… seems like a communication issue on their part. I wonder too if the lack of people or sales is due to the economy. When I went to a smaller con in October I spent very little, just bought a couple of stickers, a plushie, a keychain and a pin. I would have loved to buy more, but I simply can’t afford it right now.

It may also be the economy, I'm glad I did a bit better than last year but it might have also been due to my new items. I did hear a lot of artists not do so well at this event compared to last year

@@Mualcaina yeah I know the few events and cons I went to, I was very strict and spent a lot less and on lower cost goods. It’s really tough.

We have been trying to do food truck events and they've really fallen short since I feel that people end up spending all their cash on tickets + expensive food and done come expecting to buy merch. Foodieland is also coming to our city next year for the first time and we've been really hesitant on signing up...

My guess is that not a lot people went this year cause of Anime Pasadena that happened a week before AXChibi.

I actually got rejected originally but I was reached out to about extra spaces but they quoted me $750 so I opted to not do it (which now makes sense it was a exhibitor table they were offering me) But when I visited with my friend, it was hot in the AA and I had to step out early idk if you felt that either but man the air circulation was bad for me in that tent

Yeah the circulation wasn’t that great 😅 it wasn’t too bad for us in the back since one of the nearby exits was open, so there was some air coming through. But it felt stuffy if you walked around the tent

The whole table situation was a big ick for me as well!!! Def not worth it for paying extra. I emailed after the fact but yeah prob going up to service first was smarter! I ended up not displaying all of my merch 😮‍💨
