I have a lot of succulents around the house, and I've noticed they thrive with the right amount of sunlight, a great soil mix, and watering only when the soil is dry. She's using succulent soil mix, which typically comes with slow-release fertilizer, and that's important for the succulents. However, I've found that the ones in areas with too much sunlight don't look as healthy. Watering early in the morning, when needed, seems to work best for them.
