I love the designs but I no longer believe any preorder hat this Summer can realistically be delivered in 2022. Any future order would make me ask myself " Is this cap worth waiting 1 year for?" before purchasing.

I think the Clink Room has good intentions and I had 3 caps on order. One was from January 2021 and the other two were ordered around August of 2022. I never received any of the caps and thankfully I was fully refunded. I’m ok with some of the concepts but it seems like they are in over their heads with these shipping delays.

Very true - if they had redirected energy to getting existing orders back on track, I think most customers would have recognized the goodwill, but what we got was more caps and more preorders at the most difficult time… thanks for the comments.

Yea I'll pass on a 6 month+ wait on a fitted. I agree on the skulls and extra super natural designs. I never thought id get into fitteds as i am now. I order one here, and there and next thing i know i have like 30 of them now. LOL! havent wore half of them. I just tell myself I'll rock it with these jordans. But never come to it. I have a Jordan and Fitted fetish.

Although I don’t purchase or wear caps from the Clink Room your points are valid and I applaud you for addressing them even though You might subject yourself to some backlash. If they watch this video the Clink Room can either take offense or they can take an honest look at themselves with respect to your points. What’s happening to them is the same thing that’s happening with sports caps. The ideas become less inspired and the caps manufactured are becoming banal and predictable: Colorway tied to a pop culture subject, sidepatch, & specially designed undervisor. Understandably slowing down/ especially if caps are in fact selling- does not fit with their bottom line goals. It would be refreshing to see a cap company takes such action. But again this is only an opinion because I am not a customer of Clink Room.

I just got the last few I had open from 2021. Seems like there are massive shipments going out this summer, hopefully yours is among them soon.

That’s what I was talking about with a friend, they should send the hats that they owe first, so they could only put about 3-4 new caps every week instead of 6, also because some designs are not that cool

i love that they were transparent with the issues of labor/production/manufacturing with their videos in the recent months, something i made a video about how Lids, Hat Club, and other hat retailers should take notes on how to communicate with hat collectors and shoppers. BUT, CR has taken things too far. I am not as effected, i only have 1 hat waiting on (2 if i remembered to order the chicago pizza one) but some of my hat friends have waited about 14 months...at least. Finish what they started, otherwise it looks like a scam company.

Yep, toughest part for me was watching them continue to broadcast 6 new caps a week despite the delays, thx for the comments Professor!

There is a "Shams" design that still hasn't arrived after 17 months. It's on the production tracker. No clue what's the reason for the further delay on that design.

I suggested that they slow down and play catch up over a year ago. The designs have been derivative for a long while now. I finally received my last order after 15 months of waiting a few days ago. It sucks but I'll never order another Clink Room hat again. Dammit, I really wanted that angler-fish hat too...oh well.

I totally agree with you regarding The Clink Room slowing down. I have over 10 outstanding orders from The Clink Room, with several orders from June 2021 that still have not shipped. I have only received one of my orders since I found the site back in 2020. Despite that, I know it will be completely worth it when they do ship. I also agree with you regarding the designs becoming too cartoony. I definitely wish they would focus more on designs that are minimalist. My favorite designs are ones that are simple and have some neat references behind them. (Arizona Scorpions and Clink U come to mind) Nowadays, many of the cartoon designs feel very identical and generic.

I think they should slow down. It's becoming overwhelming for both the consumer and the Clink Room to keep up and be patient with these pre-orders. Especially since some people say they've been waiting since last year. Eventually I just feel that overall it's becoming tiring waiting and waiting for pre order after pre-order and I feel you aren't focusing on your orders already in production when you're dropping 6 hats a week.

Doug, what would you recommend as the best hat display. The place I currently keep mine is becoming a little overcrowded, and I am due for a new place to display them.

Actually I don’t display my caps, and I did make a video on how I store them… usually behind a closet or bookcase door on shelves to keep them from too much dust, thanks.

My suggestion is: simple is best! Many designs on Clink Room are too complex for my taste. Designs should be easily recognizable and have broad appeal, and should not require interpretation or explanation.

@@dreinthe616 if you want my recommendation, I would do it with a team which the logo on the cap is not the team insignia like my Phillies did with their bright red clubhouse cap. Instead of the P, they just used the liberty bell on the bright red one. In my opinion the clubhouse caps with the cap insignia on them is boring and not really creative.

Hello, I have a problem with a 59fifty cap, I always use the cap in reverse, with the mlb logo on the front. The problem usually with my hair, I usually wear it very long and the only way that the cap fits well is by squeezing my hair and I don't like that. I know it may sound silly but in the country where I live they don't sell 59fifty, only adjustable 9fifty and that prevents me from trying on other sizes. I am 7 5/8, would it be better for me to buy a larger size? or look for a way to enlarge the cap?

You should definitely try to find a hat jack so you can stretch caps when they're too tight... and go to my channel because I've got videos on stretching, shrinking, variation in New Era sizes, etc. Thanks
