I love your mini project with your patches and attaching Velcro! One of my cheaper solutions a lot of nomads do is they buy stickers, kind of like Chrome and stick them all over their car or van, however if I ever want to sell it that makes a mess in the way you're doing it is perfect! Thanks for the idea I forgot that you didn't do stickers and did the patches! Looks great👍

I did stickers for a little bit, but then I started filling up all of my water bottles and realized really quickly that I wasn’t going to be super efficient so I went to patches and it gives me a great way to have some thing that I can have not only in the van but whenever I do want to remove them, I can put them in my tiny home and it has been wonderful. Also, I can change them up. If I don’t see you like some thing looks right I can move it and like a sticker that’s just there!!

I have a bunch of those foam cushions to protect my knees. I keep one in every room of my home. BUT I don't remove the shrink wrap plastic from them. You can wipe that plastic clean, without making the foam get all soggy, if you leave the plastic on them. It makes it much easier to keep them nice & clean.

I know and videos like this. It kind of makes me cringe because there was so much stuff crammed into my van, having to bring my dad’s van home. But with a little diligence and patience, I can get everything finished and then it will be all wonderful again.

I finally hot time to watch your video late at night, and when you said you collected post cards, I collected them from every state I took loads to, and mailed them to my granddaughter when she was 4 and a friends autistic son and they thought it was just like being on the road with me, by looking up the state in a Atlas! Did that for 1 yr while great granddaughter was in headstart and the class would study that state!! The kids loved it!! Along with sending magnets for each state!!

It’s just something a little small, but I can pop into a video after I get gas how much it cost and then the amount per gallon but that could help people to see how in different states it also changes

They do have their own specific cord however, with that said, I’ve noticed that they also are one of the more reliable power stations as a whole

So Harvest Hosts relaxed their requirements? They used to not allow any van camping. You had to have a fully self-contained RV with built-in waste tanks to qualify. By allowing van camping they're definitely expanding their customer base! 🏕 Sacramento, California USA 🇺🇸

Yes, the requirements have changed a bit. However, you still have to be approved by the individual hosts and so there are more options for example with my Tiny van because I do technically have a gray tank that I can carry with me. I put that in my description and I was approved, so I just have to make sure I have a way to get rid of waste water in the van at all times.

I started my membership 3 or 4 years ago? It was before the change in ownership. I specifically asked since I have just a van and was told that was fine. I don't need to be outside cooking, i had water, and i don't have a bathroom per se but can dump elsewhere, especially since they were just overnight stays. They didn't have any issues with my van.

Do they still want you to spend $20 -$40 at their facilities? That defeated the purpose of cheap camping for us. Love watching your videos.

I do a variety of different hairstyles, so it’s always changing sometimes it in my face sometimes it’s in the flu and sometimes I stylet in a mohawk. I haven’t done that in a while though.

Yes and then it is up to the host to approve or deny….. the main thing is you have to be self contained and cannot need to be outside your rig for cooking or dumping

Can u do a video on why u don't have a dog? In a couple years I will be traveling more often and I see people with dogs and without. I see advantages to both, so I was just wondering why u choose no dogs.

I will be doing a video about this, but it probably won’t come out for a while. So long story short I do not want to be limited by having a dog. A lot of places do not allow dogs now and I do not spend a lot of time in the van and do not have adequate ability to keep the interior of the van cool when I am away, so it would not be fair or safe for a dog to travel. For example, when I have gone places with Riley there, her food places that she was not allowed to go because of Tyson, and so she had to make the choice to simply not go because the weather wasn’t good enough for her to be able to leave Tyson in her vehicle. I don’t want to be held back like that.

@BunnyPlaysHere I am pretty much the same. I love animals but when I travel I do a lot where a pet wouldn't be allowed. I also do a lot of research and those places definitely do not allow animals. It just wouldn't be fair in my case. My parents do have an active dog that I can take on day trips; not sure about overnight since he's a barker. ❤

Hey Bunny! New to PT Van life. I started collecting stickers and patches. I have found patches difficult to find. Do you just luck up on them or know sure fire places that carry them?

Some areas have more than others when it comes to patches and so I have learned that there are just some places that it is going to be harder to find I used to collect something else in place of a patch and then I realized that I just ended up with two different things and I had to figure out what to do with the other thing lol so if they don’t have a patch, I just look a little sad

I get stickers and add them to my journals. I also get pins that I can display in my van. And I get shirts with the idea I'll make a blanket or three... eventually 😆 I collect too much.

All the things I have in my van have a purpose, so yes, I do need them. A lot of the things that I have are emergency and safety related items that even though I don’t use them daily or things that I need. As for all of my cooking supplies I use them regularly. Clothing items I use them regularly filming items I use them regularly. I think instead of saying that someone takes too many things instead, the proper response would be you take different things and I would take and I might not need those things however, questioning why I have someone has something isn’t very nice because each of us lives our lives very differently. I’ve seen a lot of wrecks that I don’t necessarily think make me comfortable because they feel very cluttered however, to that person those things are necessary. I have never claimed to be a minimalist in any way, shape or form, but each item that I have in my van is packed with intention and is used regularly. Otherwise I don’t take it in the van.

Do you let someone come in your house and tell you that you don’t need something just because they don’t need it. Short answer NO. Leave her alone she always has a super tidy van. I am impressed because her home moves and yet it still is organized.
