Nice video, we travelled the same route a few weeks ago. Sat in the B gates lounge with 40 minutes to go to boarding, flight disappeared from the screens. It was then cancelled, rebooked to the next day. Lost our selected seats. It was a long haul in the middle section of economy! Fortunately, we had the earlier flight as the late departure was cancelled again the following day. Lots of unhappy BA travellers!

As world traveler we decided to give up our United Airlines (1K) status, and started flying B.A. from the U.S. where we live. In-fact we have an Aug trip to Cape Town then on to Johannesburg, back to London, and of course back to the U.S... Because we fly alot to U.K/E.U., it didn't take long (9 months) to get our gold status. Funny because this is gonna be our 3rd trip to South Africa, and like you we always get row 53 (upper-deck window), as well. Took about 4 flights into Heathrow, to finally understand the layout of the airport in general. I get alot more benefits with B.A., One World Status in the U.S., in-regards to lounge access. Thanks for the review. I haven’t used B.A. Club World since the pandemic as they decided to hike the price for my regular long haul. I switched to KLM/AF which has been excellent and good value for money. I never had any complaints about B.A. and their food was always very good in those days. Though my new choice means a stopover in either Amsterdam or Paris, it’s always short and I’m prepared to put up with that in view of the product and especially the fairly substantial saving on the cost,

BEST! washroom in the BA fleet - the upstairs, front right-hand side on the A380. BIGGEST in the fleet and totally the one to aim for if changing into ya PJ's................( oops left my comment before I saw the full vid! sorry )

My only criticism of this channel is that there aren’t more reviews because I love them! You have such a great style, you should try as many business class products as you can and keep releasing them because they’re really entertaining to me and on par with some of the best flight reviewers on RU-vid for video enjoyment

Just came across this video ( very good by the way ) We flew down to Johannesburg last September ( 22 ) ... My son had the same problem with the TV too ( different aircraft, but still BA ) , must be a reasonably common occurrence?

I stared following your travels as you had been on A380s. Plus you had also been to Dubai. I had booked flights with BA to Dubai. It is also my birthday in January. I like you don’t suck up to airlines like some that do travel vlogs. You say it how it is. Loved your around the world trip. It must have been tiring. We went with BA Aberdeen Heathrow Dubai on January 9th. Had premium economy on an A380 going out the seats were good, comfortable. The meal was ok for a night flight. Don’t think much of BAs entertainment system. It’s very slow sluggish poor quality screens as well. We normally go Emirates much better entertainment and the screens are far better quality. Coming back on January 20th Dubai Heathrow Aberdeen, economy class with BA on an A380 again the afternoon flight. It was fine the food again wasn’t great. Did not come around with drinks enough. Emirates you get far more drinks we were dehydrated. The worst bit of our flight was the Heathrow to Aberdeen section. Omg it was horrendous, we were away to take off but the tug that pulls the plane out had damaged the nose cone landing gear. Long wait on the plane to get engineers to inspect it. Then we had sat as long we had to be de_iced. Then we we taxied around for ages then there was a fault with the tail rudder. Then the pilot said back to the stand. We had been sat on the plane for 3 hrs by this time no drinks. Not even water. Business class got water but economy were left to go very thirsty. The pilot then said we were going to be changing planes. But he had to do paper work do get a change of plane. Then we were stuck on a bus for 25 minutes like sardines in a can while the pilot checked over this plane. We eventually got on it and were told that Heathrow had given him an extension to get the plane off the ground. There was no catering on board. So not even water. We were delayed for 4 hours and there was no catering on board. We landed in Aberdeen at 1.20am (4.20am Dubai time) by the time we got our bags and in the door it was 2.28 am (6.28am Dubai time). We had been up 24hrs. We were 6 hours without access to water. It was awful. I wrote a complaint letter the next day. They answered it 2 days later no compensation which they are supposed to by EU law to give. Nothing from BA would I travel with them again not very likely. We are booked with Emirates on an A380 to Dubai in June. I think Emirates business class is amazing. The food is really good and they have a wide selection of cocktails.

I flew this flight recently in F A crew member told me the upgrade will happen soon. They commented that F class will move upstairs to be behind the large bathroom in a smalll cabin with a new seat and the club suite will be fitted too. Let’s wait and see..

Iam flying out on BA in a few weeks time in your class And your not filling me with confidence

Hello Tim, I suppose whether of not BA decides to retrofit its A380s would depend on how long BA would expect to keep them in its fleet. The cost of refurbishment is enormous and that's one reason AF gave when its A380s were retired. It was something like Euros 40 million per A380 ... although AF hadn't done anything to the seating since it took delivery of its A380s years ago so that sum must relate to all cabins.
