This is a character from my first personal project. I have been thinking about having my own IP someday for a few years now and I'm glad to say it is finally happening. Been working on it since early 2018 and I am just starting to talk about it now as I feel more confident about it at this point.

Still struggling with main aspects like world-building, story design or even how to properly name everything in this universe, I honestly can't be more excited and happier about the results so far.
I'm looking forward to show you more as soon as I can. Thank you so much for your attention. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do :)
This artwork was made in Infinite Painter on the iPad Pro 2018 using the Apple Pencil 2.

I really tried infinite painter it’s just so clunky compared to art studio pro or procreate! Your work is super dope tho! Might give the program another look

I have only tried it recently, so I have no idea how it was before. I must say the app suddenly closed itself on iPad a couple of times, but I really think it has more pros than cons to be honest. If they keep developing it to polish these little things, it will be a perfect program for sketching in my opinion, perhaps even for painting finished illustrations. I love art studio bro because it is very very similar to photoshop and makes me feel like home hahah. Thank you for your comment!

It is possible to hide reference layers on time-lapse? Thanks

I never tried that but there should be some option. Apparently procreate has that already so perhaps it's a matter of time apps like infinite painter add it too.

How did you move the eyes of character! I'm really confused how to use that tool. I don't know how to do that. Btw nice character design 😊

Thank you for your comment and sorry I'm so late to reply. I don't think I understand what you mean by moving the eye. When I move stuff around I usually use the lasso tool and the transform tool. You basically select the areas of your interest and then hit transform and you can move it around, resize it and everything. However in this case, I mostly erased lines and painted on top again. I found it more convenient. Hope it helps. Cheers!

This is wonderful! You've got an excellent eye for detail. May I ask how you record your process? The quality is much nicer than what I've gotten from infinite painter's own recording tool so far.

Hey thank you so much! Well in this particular episode, it was recorded at a lower resolution. I am not sure what the default is, perhaps 720p. But I always go to infinite painter settings and scroll down to the recording resolution and set it up to 4K. It ends up looking like a 1080p video in the end, so that works for me (I just forgot to do it for this video because I didn't know I was going to come up with such a solution for my character, and even less to share the video online xD) So I hope that helps :D

@@AdrianVirlan it is well deserved praise man. I wish you the best of luck in your project ❤ And this helps! My infinite painter on samsung tab s6 doesn't seem to have an option for adjusting recording quality, unless it's in some kind of hidden advanced settings menu. Are you on pc, or maybe it's a difference between android and apple? But today I figured out that the canvas shape affects the quality a lot. Especially if you change it during your process. I had this piece that started in tall 3:4 ratio and it gradually grew wider into 7:4. What essentially happened is that the videoframe was shaped in 3:4 and the 7:4 was fit inside it with lots of empty space above and below. The way I fixed it and got the remaining of the footage in 7:3 shaped videoframe was to open a new canvas and import all the layers into it and start recording fresh on it. There may be a better way to do this, but it's what I found out for now! Thanks for your thoughtful reply, it helped me in figuring this stuff out. :)

@@VilmaVaikka Ohh then I really hope they implement that on android too. My ipad is the only apple thing I have hahah, and it's also the only device I tried Infinite painter on. Hmm actually, I did try it on an android device for a demo I made for Wacom earlier this year, but I didn't check the recording resolution thing :( And I think I have noticed the weird ways it has to incorporate new changes in the aspect ratio of the canvas during the recording process. I personally don't tend to change that, but it's quite messed up when you need to :( And by the way, that is a pretty cool solution you came up with as a way around the problem :D

@@AdrianVirlan Hopefully they'll add it as I much prefer android haha. Thanks a lot for your insight Adrian!

Thats a great character concept. I feel the oriental inspiration. But as a concept its a bit too symmetrical right arm detail is the same.. you should unbalance by adding pockets or accessories

Thanks a lot! Yeah this was the very first pass on the actual design. I noticed the obvious symmetry too. Tried to break it a bit below the waist but I will try more stuff. Not done with this guy yet hahaha. I appreciate it man, thank you so much.
