I like to think as soon as a very highly sophisticated AI is created that's meant to replicate human thoughts/emotions/thinking etc is merged and/or has access to quantum computers is when this singularity point will occur. Many scientists believe it will be around 50-80 years when this will happen but Elon Musk thinks it'll just take 5 years. You're going to get much more high quality answers if you don't anthropomorphize AI but instead look at the mathematics.
