This is a timelapse, showing all the tricky steps necessary to build the octax envelope of the silent_runner open source airship. There are easier ways to get a balloon for an airship but this is probably the most efficient and beautiful way to make it. The shape is perfectly streamlined and optimized for high volume. And the material is incredible gas-tight, that means it can hold the precious helium for days and even weeks if properly sealed.
