I'm a simple man -- I see someone cover my fav gun mod, I watch, put a like and leave a comment. Worth noticing that latest version also add various types of ammunition, including incendiary, explosive and armor piercing, but I'm sure you'll cover that soon as well.
Finally I found a fresh and good review of this mod! In theory, skins do a good job of camouflaging weapons in different biomes. What if we take this mod and combine it with Historically Accurate Armor.
Is there any way to change the sight reticule colour? (the white dot in sights) i thought dyeing it would work but it didn't, it would be cool if they added it.
It crashes on two possible reasons -- Optifine (try using other optimization mods instead, like Magnesium, which is a Forge port of famous Sodium, it worked for me), and running other applications at the same time, especially those who also use a lot of RAM and GPU (try closing everything that is not important to run Windows and Minecraft in your Task Manager). The way I heard it, the problem actually is in skin system, mod became unstable when skins for guns were added, so they were disabled in newest version until solution could be found.
That mod is only for 1.16.5 and 1.18.2 for now, although mod creators consider moving to 1.19 and 1.20 when 1.16.5 and 1.18.2 versions will be somewhat polished.
