Thank you Adger!!!! Yes it is very sad. I wish I had known this in 2017. Just hope other people get the info - autoimmune diseases are sharply on the rise.
p.s. I hate to ask a favour when you have already given me SO much support, but would you be able to write a review for my novel? It's received a horrible review (Possibly a troll? Seems to have written many other nasty reviews for lots of books...) and that's ok, the novel is not to everyone's taste, but because I only have 3 reviews in total it is very damaging. I can't promote it without more reviews!!! It's my own fault - I didn't have the energy back then to promote it. I'm considering a re-launch.
I sat down to do your review and realized I don't have my copy of your book. I'm out of town until next week but as soon as I get back I'll get it done. I just want to do the best review possible and need the book in front of me to do that.
Day 88 carnivore and I've seen more improvements in my debilitating mental health issues than 20yrs of other treatments. I haven't told my doctor, but honestly I don't care what he says anyway. I'm staying in high fat carnivore for as long as I feel this much better
After you've gotten all the novels out of your system, I think you should write an autobiography. Your story is amazing and has the potential to help so many people, and you're just the person to tell it, with your gift for elegant and expressive communication.
Thank you! 🥰 I'm having a total crisis of confidence over my writing. Just received a horrible review for my novel and only got 3 reviews in total... 😆I didn't have the energy to promote it so let it sit there for years. I wanted to write a fun novel not one about my illness, but now I'm out the other side maybe I'll consider it.
im going to give it another try. Ive yet to get any diagnosis other than hypochodria. I woke in the night on Marrch 4th 2013 hearing a ROAR in my right ear but I couldn't move. Locked in I was for several minutes unable to call or reachout. When I finally threw myself out of bed I had to crawl up the stairs to the bathroom where I realized I was deaf in my Right ear. I lost my balance hearing and thought process in one fell swoop. I thought my life was over. I tryed the carnivore then the lion diet. My inflammation improved but the imbalance and the ROAR and deafness remained. I fell off the diets when my falther fell ill in April and I traveled to see him. On the road trying to stay on the diet while with family and food was more than I could cope with. Now I am further down the road than I was before.I had a seizure about 4 months ago and learned that I had a stroke back in 2013 that was not revealed to me. It was called an infarct. My eyes became severely dry about 5 months ago and a opthamologist suggested Sjogren's. I got the antibody tests that were negative. I plan to go on the carnivore diet again without any formal diagnosis just so that I can function. I had to quit work November 2023. Thankfully I own my homeand I'm able to draw survivor benefits that keep me financially afloat. Thank you for your enthusiasm. Your video sparked a desire to begin again.Keep up the good fight!!
Thank you so much for your inspiring account. I have had MS since 1983. I am now 67. Up until 2017 I had done very well with relapsing remitting MS (maybe 2-3 flareups) then i started having chronic UTI problems. My mobility has gone downhill since then. I am extremely fatigued and very difficult to get around and do day to day. I became KETO in 2018 successfully losing 86 pounds. And continued to end of May 2024. I started carnivore June 6 2024. No noticible physical difference YET. Mt UTI situation seems to have diminished. Energy and cognition is improving significantly. So excited as I believe this is the best thing i can do to help myself. I too had very frustrating experiences with neurologists. What a lot!! Heres to our continued success and great health! Cheers!!! Teresa Alberta Canada
This is a great timeline for those who might be starting an MS journey! I've heard parts of your story many times through your other videos, but spelling it all out like this makes me want to give you a great big hug. You've been so strong and been through so much. Happy to see how far you've come and how healthy you are now. Sending lots of love from San Diego :)
Congrats on a good, concise timeline. Glad you continue to improve and feel great. Good luck in your career/life ambitions. Keep on updating as you see fit. Important for other MS sufferers and mental health struggles. MO, USA
Thank you for sharing this video! I know it will help multiple people suffering with any debilitating condition. My sister suffered with what was diagnosed as lupus but we now know was merely her body’s reaction to improper diet. She lost her insurance, her job, and a kidney. She looked and felt terrible for over 13 years. The medical community in Mississippi put her through the wringer and took her for everything she had. Funny thing. Now off all medications (11), in a new career, down 50+ lbs, feels and looks better than before her lupus diagnosis. Hmmm! According to her “experts” she should be in a shriveled ball by now.
That’s an amazing journey! You’re still on it. Bravo to you for having the strength that you didn’t think you had as well as the perseverance to turn that horrible situation around. Please keep sharing your life here.
Muchísimas felicidades!!!! Un súper logro!!!! Yo llevo 3 meses en dieta carnivora y estoy feliz.... La gente piensa que estoy loca... Pero ni modo! Gracias por tu vídeo! Me encantó ❤
Thank you for sharing even though some of it was difficult to speak about. I wish I could reach through the screen and give you a hug! Also, I completely believe you about the WiFi thing. I swear, when I "upgraded" from a 4G to a 5G cell phone, I had constant headaches even though I was already carnivore and headaches had been a thing of the past for me. That lasted for almost two months! I dream of doing what you've done and moving away from anywhere with lots of EMF, out into nature. Unfortunately I'm stuck in my job for the time being, but someday I want to follow in your footsteps ❤
If you put up a piece of copper mesh between where your head is when you sleep and the local cell tower, you can at least be protected while you sleep. I know it sounds very tin-foil-hat, but it's legit.
@@itzakpoelzig330 I have a baseball cap made with silver fibres - the ULTIMATE tin foil hat!! I'm proud of it!! Yes indeed, very important to not be exposed while sleeping.
Probably most of your commenters discovered you bc they were MS sufferers, or, interested in the carnivore lifestyle. I’m of the second group and more ketovore but doing well. Please keep making YT videos Rebecca! They are honestly so good. They don’t need to be exclusively about your MS or carnivore journey but just your life, your travel, and your take on things. You’re a great communicator 😊 Love from Mexico xo
Greetings from Australia 🇦🇺 I'm 56, female got diagnosed MS March 2023, tried Swank MS diet, OMS, Vegan and keto no improvement but day 16 on elimination LION DIET this my last try diet style it has to heal. I relate to your symptoms. I too be a successful MS warrior like you, I want to walk and my fine motor skills bad etc. Great achievement you inspire me
RU-vid won't allow me to hit the like button. I've shared this video with a coworker whose dad has MS and a church member whose had fatigue vitamin D deficiency and eye demyelination.
An amazing journey - brave to be totally honest about hugely difficult times. Your story resonates as I also have a PhD (and understand the huge workload and personal investment it takes) and have travelled through disability, to recovery and carnivore WOE too. It is inspirational to hear your timeline and the joy and hope in your voice. We can only hope that it motivates and lifts up others too who may be somewhere at the start of their own journey and consider making those changes that are within reach, like WiFi / wired connections, diet etc. Hugs to you and the dogs!
Thank you ❤Wow we have a lot in common! Yes I think many people assume a PhD is just extended student life 😆Fantastic that you also beat disability with carnivore. Hugs right back atcha! 🤗
It seems you have overcome a very dark chapter of your life, I'm so happy for you! Thanks for sharing I know it will help others to have hope. Now you have your 4 legged family, sunshine, and the promise of rebuilding your career...I wish you all the best in your beautiful new home/life.
That was excellent, liked your timeline as I'm a visual person and the amount of detail was spot on for a summary. I've been following your journey since you discovered carnivore diet as that is what we have in common and it was such a joy to see the transformation in you. You are a huge inspiration to all that we have the power to take control of our health and our lives.
Yorur videos have inspired me to start carnivore and take it serious im a 28 year old male diagnosed with MS it took me by surprise I'm not currently disabled and have little to none symptoms I'm hoping by starting a carnivore diet i can keep it that way and improve the little damage i already have. Thank you for sharing your journey as there is little to none information on carnivore diet and MS
Thank you so much for this! I’m 70 and just getting diagnosed, which is taking forever it seems. Since I couldn’t just sit around and wait, I started the carnivore diet just five days ago, basically meat, water, coffee and tea. I’ve seen some improvements but it’s going to take a while. My symptoms started as an attack, with it happening while I was in a restaurant all at once. My biggest problem is getting the doctors to take me seriously. On the sheet they give you at the end of the visit, it said I was there for “generalized weakness”. I’m in Ohio, wish I could move to a mountain! 😊
So glad you shared this! I care for a lady with Parkinsons who has been suffering terribly! I shared your video interview with your dad today so i hope she watches it soon. She is feeling so hopeless now! Dhe needs these encouraging testimonies as i have been carnivore for over a year, keto for a year before that, and have been educating her on oxalates and carnivore/keto way of eating. Thank you again, and I am so happy for you and your recovery. God bless you!
great video rebecca. i have read a bit about the damage that wifi and mobile phone signals do to your health. So well done mentioning it. It might be worth while investigating since when you got away from these wifi signals your health improved
Absolutely. It was as quick as a light switch. My brain fog cleared up immediately and the first thing I did was get out of my wheelchair and dance to techno. It's been consistent since then. Still had lots of healing to do, but it pushed me from non-functioning into the realms of functioning. It's all about inflammation, I believe. Both sugar and wifi radiation cause inflammation.
I was diagnosed with MS in 2014. I was able to walk but not work. My initial attack effected my balance. It took 3 days to be able to walk again. I muttled along for 9 years in about the same shape. Come to find out I got a fair amount of bad information along the way. About 2017 I stopped going to all doctors. I believed they were not helping me. In August of 2023 I started the carnivore diet. Unfortunately I was never able to enjoy any of the benefits from it. I diligently stuck to beef, eggs, cheese, water and salt for 4 months. All the while my leg strength was going away and I started using a wheelchair. in October 2023 I got covid and stayed in the hospital for 5 days. I was amazed the hospital would feed me eggs and ground beef while I was there so I was able to stick to the diet. The first week of 2024 I fell due to lost leg strength and landed in the hospital again. That's when an MRI revealed I was having another MS attack. I spent 8 days in the hospital and a month in rehab. The hospital and rehab made no effort to help with the diet. I had to eat the crappy food they provided. This attack was pretty brutal. I learned how to properly use a wheelchair while in rehab. Insurance refused to pay for any more rehab so I'm still in a wheelchair today. I was assured by the doctor in the hospital that eating carnivore did not trigger the attack. It was a coincidence. 3 days ago I resumed carnivore. As long as I can stay out of the hospital I'll be able to stay on the diet. I pray that it helps. I have resumed going to the doctor. Let's see how long that lasts.
It takes years to develope bad health - for some, it may take years to recover, but we have to start somewhere 🤷🏾♀️ maybe you should cut out all the added fats and cheeses for a while.. just eat fatty meat and eggs.
I first watched you video dated a yer ago. And now i clicked on this one. The diference is masive !!! It`s so obious that you look better mentaly and phisicaly.
Very interesting thank you for sharing, I am coming up to year 3 of a chronic illness after not recovering from a viral infection, perfectly healthy previously now suffering from PEM, dysautonomia etc.. I am trying the carnivore diet since Feb, I’ve definitely had some small improvements but I do struggle with missing other foods, so about once a month fall off the wagon for a day or so. I’m hoping to be better at it, I am at your 2017-2019 year stage and although different illnesses your recovery gives me hope!
GREAT VIDEO TIMELINE! I find it so amazing you were able to manage all of this on your own!!! I am married but unable to do any cooking myself and sadly don't have the kind of support/encouragement etc I need. I cannot walk let alone even use a wc to do anything. I really do not like being alone in this state. BLESS YOU!!! I look forward to your videos.
I hear you. Being alone was the absolute hardest part of all. I'm so sorry you don't currently have adequate support ❤I really hope things improve for you. Sending you hugs 🤗❤
Thanks for sharing your timeline. Makes me think of making my own timeline for my rheumatoid arthritis journey. “Get dog” was a good healing step! I recommend a dog for everyone who’s able to take care of one properly. Congratulations on your Ph.D. It’s a major accomplishment. I am an MA in Philosophy; never finished my dissertation. I know about the Tories. I grew up listening to the Sex Pistols and hating Thatcher. 😊
Haha... I didn't want to write a miserable novel when I was really ill so I wrote a light-hearted one instead, but now my health journey has had a happy ending maybe I'll consider it!
Sending positive vibes your way! May you continue to improve on your health journey. Many would have given up and never taken their health into their own hands. So often a pill / quick fix from the doctor is the choice. Keep spreading the news about a proper human diet. Many have seen health improvements. I certainly have.
Congrats on your journey! I want to know more about the carnivore journey specifically. Why not make a video on that? How did you progress? Any pitfalls along the way? How long until you started feeling some relief? What worked and what did you learn? All the best parts :) Thanks for posting this. Best wishes for your continued success!
What a journey you have been through & its amazing that you have found relief from a condition that many never do. I'm interested to hear you were Vitamin D deficient, did you have any other deficiencies?
Rebecca... You are a great person and I'm SO happy about how you've turned your MS (and other things) around, BUT... Every time I see one of your thumbnails I think, "Girl, get some SUN!!!" I'm sure you don't need me to remind you how important exposing a lot of your body to the sun really is, not just for vitamin D, but tons of things we don't even know about yet. You're carnivore and I'm sure you've heard all the reports of the sun not burning us like it does the seed oil eaters. So, get with it girl ! Start frying those buns!!!
Believe me I get plenty of sun exposure. I never use sunscreen and never cover up. I just have that type of really pale skin that doesn't tan. I don't burn like a lobster either for some reason, but I cannot tan. It's not my fault I was born this way!!! 😢
I WISH I could tan so that I could look healthier and represent the carnivore community better in my thumbnails... but I'd have to use fake tan lol. I get a very mild glow that makes me look less deathly pale, but that's it. I love being outside in the sun. That's why I moved to Spain!
Thx 4 all your videos,it really motivates me.MS for 18years,carnivore for a month. When do you got the first feeling that your legs getting better?Thx and all the best from germany 😉✌️
Are you familiar with Dr Anthony Chaffee (neurosurgeon) now based here in Australia and an avid believer of the carnivore diet? Hoping your health continues to improve ❤️ 🐨
Maybe a blog for auto immune disorders/ life/ breathe ( Patrick McKewon) could be a writing option especially for patrons. I listened to your journey, as it’s thought that I have systemic Lupus however once you go down the elimination process the path gets clear on what is going on. I’m sure others would like to see what you eat in a day especially the Fat content and water. Most people don’t eat enough fat on carnivore or drink good water, 3 litres a day. Thanks for sharing
Ignorant of MS, so forgive the question if it is cheeky. You said your form of MS was a kind that comes in waves. How often are these peaks and dips supposed to come. Is there any chance your MS is in a remission phase? Does an mri show lesions regressing?
It's a good question. There's no rules with MS, it's very unpredictable and case specific, so it's hard to draw conclusions. The relapses (nerve failure) come and go, but my symptoms were always present. It's the vanishing of my symptoms that is so striking.
'Real' evidence to me is already there the absence of daily MS symptoms, but that is anecdotal. Real evidence to others means an MRI scan showing reduced or no lesions, and I will have my first MRI since starting the diet soon. Mind you, I will still be dismissed as a singular case or a fluke by my neurologist. 'Real' evidence to docs means a scientific study with hundreds of participants. To me, the data set is already there with all the patient testimonies posted online - at the very least, this should be enough to spark scientific curiosity.
The best place to get vitamin D is from your diet. It's real quit easy. Especially for a carnivore. You don't need to be a hippy surfer living on the beach. Great video, by the way.
@jodyjackson5475 Real foods, like meat, fish, eggs, and dairy naturally contain more vitamin D than we can get from the sun. The Sun is a very unreliable source of vitamin D. It's hard to know the optimal amount we need.
@@jodyjackson5475 True, if you are light-skinned, live in a warm climate, and get outside every day at noon. But then you'd be deficient in everything else unless you were eating mostly meat, eggs, fish, or dairy. Which in that case, you'd already be getting more than enough from your diet. In many US cities, in winter, it could take well over two hours, and that's at noon(+ or-an hour or two). At any other time of the day, you can forget about it altogether.
