1:18 the ship in the background is the mothership from XBTF 7:48 i think thats the Earthfleet Mothership that you launch from at the start of XBTF, has the same rotating gravity generator 9:02 that is the X shuttle (in xbtf it was the size of a M3 (heavy fighter) but could be upgraded to the power of a battleship) 19:24 no, in XBTF that was the design of the xenon power plants, it was a shipyard/powerplant/constructor, this thing would roam around rebuilding shipyards and other stations as well as creating replacement ships (the lore at the time) So far it looks like scenarios are most of the main missions of XBTF X2 and maybe X3, will only know if its including X3 if the Khaak capital ships turn up in later trailers 30:15 to the right of the X4 the ship there looks like the Missing Xenon L the heavy fighter for the xenon

This looks amazing. I would like it if they added more first-person content, like adding more interior for modules you have added to each space station, more interior rooms in larger spaceships, a bigger choice of player avatars, customizable uniforms for players NPC's or a bigger random selection of NPC skins, it would also be cool to see civilian NPC walk around in space stations, maybe smaller factions / sub-factions to interact with. it would be cool if the player could make a jump gate to zone leap of faith gate also

That ship with the rotating parts kind of reminds me of a Babylon 5 Omega-Class destroyer. Just the rotating pods aren't as big or as centralized.

0:15 I hope this is a rebuilt Goner Temple in the sector Cloudbase. It would be cool if egosoft merged the X1-X3 Cloudbases into on sector and made it special like avarice. 0:19 looks like the old Xenon capital ships ( may be a different branch?), but this could be a reimagined ATF Ship. Since existential crisis are coming and the Xenon are the best candidate for them, bringing the AGI Task Force back would make sense. I have definetly seen the small ships in previous x games, but i don't remember where. 0:24 looks like the x:btf cockpit a bit 0:31 again start of x:btf. This is the terran mothership. 0:36 in the map ( which looks like the current map with the exception of the orange sector left to the silent witnesses) they merged sectors connected with accelerators, which is nice IMO. The map visuals look very much improved here. 0:38 this could be the new X Shuttle (or the springblossom?) 0:42 no idea. this ship wasn't in any previous X game AFAIK 0:44 Split Station with engines? May be a sleeper ship? 0:47 Xenon/Terraformer CPU ship 0:52 I don't know this ship it's not the one from 0:58 0:56 X shuttle or springblossom again 0:58 racing in an "Elite E"? 1:04 looks unhealthy 1:06 I'm more convinced now that this is the X Shuttle 1:11 Xenon M0 in the background 1:55 new engine effect? 2:04 Racing. The background looks like X2s Combat challenge in the Aguilar(?) Asteriod Belt 2:06 Xenon M0 again, same Cockpit as in 0:24. This could be a remake of the xbtf ending. 2:12 Who has such power? The Sohnen (gate builders) maybe? They have a billion year plan for the galaxy according to the x novels. 2:19 Freelancer/Everspace style 3rd person mode. OMG! Also Goner Temple(?) If it's anything like in VRO, the Xenon U is a carrier that has a station/carrier killer beam with Asgard ATF battery-like damage. I recently got back into EVE Online (partly thanks to X4 constantly reminding me of it, such as the Xenon K reminding me of the Vexor), but when this comes out I'll have to come back!

0:15 thats an old Xenon M1/M2 from Xbtf not M0 0:31 thats the Terran Command Ship from whitch the X-Shuttle is launched, Xbtf as well 0:46 Thats The Terraformer "Deca" i think, located in Aldrin 1:08 THATS the Xenon M0 from Xbtf i recently replayed it thats why i can remember^^ This huge Station looks like one of the HQs from X3 Albion Prelude

The Xenon Ship is a "CPU ship", DECA is one of those too.

I have really got to get it together and sink more time in this game. I jumped in 2 years ago and get the game but in the past haven't had the time to find my way. But I buy the DLC's since then because I believe in the game.

The new game mode's seem interesting. I very much hope we will get to bring some of those ships and stations into our X4 sandbox. And, I also like the sound of the 7.0 feature coming with Timelines (which were in the steam write up) Looks like a great update for it's core players. And perhaps a welcome introduction experience for new players.

At 4:19 looks like the original XBTF terraformer(xenon) m2 destroyers. Station might be a remake of the goner temple from xbtf. 18:58 looks like you x1(x-tension) xperimental shuttle flying by the xenon planet killer weapon.

11:00 - Definitely a Xenon Deca from X3 (may have other names), it's a mothership of one of the earlier branches of Xenon, station-size ship. In lost Aldrin sector (one of X3 DLCs) argon being allied with Xenon Deca, the only friendly Xenon knon in the X universe (except, probably few other early branches of Xenon, who flee into depths of the Universe to find their own path far away from their creators and war).

Who has such power? The gate builders obviously, maybe we'll finally learn more about them. They already guided us in X3. The J or I or U was a Terraformer in X3:TC that you could bring on the side of the Terrans in said game. The "Ship from the picture" looks like the Xenon Doomsday weapon they tried to use in X2 to blow up planets. One of the Sectors looks like the Trantor battle. Also I think I saw the terran gate somewhere. I also believe we might see the Ka'ak end battle from X3 and the Torus in it's glory, but thats just speculation. I do hope we get to see the old Terran ships too

Good to see some excited peeps! I miss a lot of the elements of X3 and all the content from there. I miss the threat in X3 of running (early game) from Scale Plate Green through Xenon Sector 347 to Eighteen Billion. I used to risk running there following weapon traders so when they got owned, I could collect their cargo.

I really missed the deca# series ships. Now all we need is the goner mobile dock, maybe battleships. I want it all.

Maybe a more peacefull xenon Faction. If I can remember, in one of the Community Storylines of X3TC we helped an Xenon CPU Ship to evolve into an sentient Being. Also, it seems that they introduce the Sohnen into the Game after they appeared in the Books.

I've been meaning to jump into X4. I think this DLC is the perfect opportunity!

Yay, finally another DLC where we can enjoy a totally broken AI not being able to do anything meaningful with the player in sector... Really looking forward to this and glad they invested dev time into this rather than fixing 5 year old bugs.

Woow I didn't expect "deca" capital ship from X3 TC. I loved Aldrin and ships from there. I hope that they will add some pirate ships from later X games too like a pirate transporter from X2 The Treat

Well, I asked for some new Xenon ships and it looks like we're getting some new Xenon ships! Yay!

The ship is the XBtF ship. I presume the new scenarios are gonna be summaries of previous X games.

Pretty sure Timelines will be telling stories and events that happen in previous X games told in the new and updated X4 engine. Might be why we are also seeing some older type ships return, but idk my guess.

Just wanted to say, as You pointed out there were no Teladis running towards the docked ship with emergency lights flashing in the backgroung. Suspicious. Maybe they are going to fight the crisis after a certain ministry rebrands from defence to war...

OMG the third person looks perfect, you have your HP bars, weapons, all of it and the camera moves around with the ship and does not impede your battlefield view

Looks awesome. Seems they let you relive X:BtF. With the Xenon M0 Mothership (also yes it's a Plant Killer) and even the X-Perimental Shuttle it seems. The red engine one is surely a Xenon M1 from BtF. This will be awesome.

I'll be buying this one! Love the X series.

The comeback of the Terraformers (aka Xenon) :)

I think the Xenon G (M0 class) (the one in the background of the dlc) refers to X Tension in the war against xenons, which can also be had on X3TC with a mod, then in the video you see the xenon #deca (M1) that if I remember correctly, the Kion weapons of the kha'ak could be installed on the turrets. The Xperimental Shuttle from X3 should be the blue ship, instead the red ship could be a reference to the racing ships that in.

This update feels like they are trying out something new for their next X game.

As someone who has played X since BTF, this is amazing. Egosoft knows how to grab the fans by the wallet. Now if we could just get the old gunstar elites back...

What I think they mean with historic ships is that they are bringing back moments from X-Beyond the Frontier. The Planet Killer is the final boss of that game. I think it could also be an interpretation of the X-Perimental Shuttle and the 27th century Terran Fleet. I do so wonder if they involve the Sohnen (Gate Builder civilization) now with that mention of a powerful, unknown party.

My mouth dropped to hear you have never played X3, Captain. I was so happy to not have to do as much research on ships and weapons (since it was all online due to no RU-vid yet) as I had to do for X3, as I had to do for X4 thanks to your channel. I guess I had just assumed had played X3.

Wish i could have been with you on the stream. I think i recognise most of these ships in the teaser. --- spoilers for the whole X-universe History ahead --- The station in the beginning looks a little bit like one of the big Company-Headquaters from X3. Maybe it's Jonferco since they played a vital role with the creation of the Sector-Highway technology. *might* be one of those The Carrier with the Red Engines might be a redesign of an old Xenon J? Could also be an even older ship that belongs to the old Xenon/Terraformers from earth and was involved in the Terraformer War where Nathan R. Gunne lured the Terraformers through the Earth-gate (leading to Alpha Centauri/Brennans Triumph), which was then destroyed and prevented the destrucion of earth and the founding of the Argon Federation. The Ship with the rotating bit is probably the ship that you launch from in the beginning of the very First X: Beyond the Frontier. Immediately afterwards you can see the X-Perimental. The OG playership from the first game. It was the only ship you could fly. It was built on earth a long time after the whole "Xenon almost wipe out humanity" scenario that happened when the Terraformers turned against their creators. That ship had an experimental (gate-less) jumpdrive and on the day of it's first test it failed and threw the pilot Kyle William Brennan (you) into the commonwealth of planets/the X-Universe. The next one i don't know. Could be a redesign of the Hyperion? Hyperion was the first M7 / Frigate in X3:Reunion before the class was introduced into X3:TC The big Split-ish battleship doesn't ring a bell either. Maybe it has something to do with the first big Split/Boron war. The Round Cylinder-Ship is one of the old CPU-Ships that were sent out by earth. They are the Terraformer Motherships so to say. This one *might* be #deca, a Terraformer-CPU ship that was never reached by the faulty update that caused the Terraformers to go wild. It played a big role during the Aldrin-Plot in X3-Terran Conflict. The red little ship seen flying through rings might be a racing ship. In X3 there were two of them in the game, Starburst, the fastest one made by the argons and Lightning, a racing-ship made by the boron. The big-ship at the very end is definetly the Xenon M0. A GIANT ship that was built by the Xenon and fought durning the First Xenon-Conflict (not to be confused with the Terraformer War). It destroyed multiple planets and was present when the Xenon Jumped a new weapon into the star of the sector "Black Hole Sun" and caused that sector to have this name today. What REALLY makes me wonder about this teaser is: there are no Khaak! Even though they had so many historically important moments in the X-Universe, none of them are shown here. I wonder if we will get to see Khaak Destroyers, Carriers and Corvettes again. Who knows. All in all i'm really excited for this Addon. I have enjoyed the X-Series ever since i was a kid so i'll probably get to relive some of these moments that made me go "whoa" back then. In case i made a mistake with the identifications here: feel free to correct :)

It seems like the Timelines events are about XBTF and bevore, havent seen any Kha'ak or anything that didnt exist bevor the X2 Plotline. The original #DECA was so BIG it would just barely fit thru a gate, it would make an Asgard look small. That zoomout of the Map shows 8 new sectors, and there are still 3 inactive gates it doesnt show. I'm exited, love some more story to the X-Universe 😃

The X3 Xenon M0 Mothership has me interested, I'd want my X4 fleet to fight it though but it sounds like a scenario based DLC so that could mean setting up a new context/start I dunno we will see... Interesting for sure...

This looks cool. No mention of making yuki a real faction yet. The new systems from the scenarios may be a way to start adding in rebirth systems.

Gotta say I love these designs. I was never a fan of many of the ship's designs in X4 when released. This later changed with the addition of DLC races which are awesome but I thought the ships in Rebirth looked so much better. ( Arawn, Taranis, etc... ) Obviously this can be solved with a lot of ship mods but this trailer had a lot of cool looking ships. Like whatever that thing is at 8:00 it looks amazing.

I belive that we saw some nexusmods in this timeline video, a wishlist quasi, and egosoft will build (put) them in a other way in the next dlc. Because ive seen that starwars ships and things like. ^^😊

3:55 reminds me of one of those faction stations in x3 i don’t remember the faction though, might have been teladi 4:17 is maybe one of those terraformer ships of the xenon as it reminds me of the intro in x beyond or later as those were quite bulky and flat 9:00 & 18:70 looks very much like the ship one flew in x beyond

The 7.0 patch says the endgame crisis is "Another faction"... I wonder instead of an established race, it's perhaps another company. I remember x3 having a mod where the main protagonist was an AI player style company that was always slightly ahead of you, it would be cool if they tried something similar instead of having the Xenon go mad or a random faction randomly declare war or something,

Regarding the map, there's a few things of interest. New unclaimed system between Pious Mists and Unholy Retribution. Unclaimed system next to Cardinal's Redress. Silent Witness is now 3 unclaimed tiles and the Argon part is now adjacent to Memory of Profit. 2 unclaimed systems between Getsu Fune and Second Contact. I am going to bet a lot of these systems are still in development for the release and haven't been faction attributed yet. My guess is, once you defeat the Aldrin mission, you unlock the Aldrin Gate in Segaris space. Similar things for the other new systems. No DLC or major storyline being introduced for them, just new factions to mingle with?

For now thw game has bin like playing a beta. Ships have internal systems, but there is only really one model to pick. Evrything feels incomplete or rushed. The game works, but there is no debth. Its like they ran out of money when they had buildt the foundation, and now is selling the foundation of a game

Please work on what already is here. I just removed game after geting stuck in asteroid while being ferried by my scout ship to other sectorr, same happens woth statuons.

Oh boy oh boy boy boy, the X ship. A little more rounded than I remember, but that's the X-ship! Oh how I hated that ship. I played the first part of the series for so long that I didn't want to watch it anymore. And then they made it so that you could fly ANY ship. The X-Ship will be the new center of my fleet. I hate it so much, I have to have it!
