Timer Review and Instruction - My Touchsmart Timer 

Really important:::: most people's problem is solved at the 6:11 mark! Also, someone pointed out to me that there is a lot of loud noise at the beginning of this video. That did not used to be there. Somehow it has become corrupted. I don't know why.

Took me 15 minutes playing around with my timer before I thought to look online on RU-vid. Found you on the second tries thank goodness, because the first try was not helpful. Thank you, Mr. Bruce!

This was super helpful! I found out while setting the second of my timers, that you don't have to advance all the way through 24h. Just roll back an hour or two before your turn on time, then roll forward to set current time, and it'll work as well.

This is a great tutorial and at the 6:12 mark you hit on exactly the problem I was having. I was within the "ON" time but it was off. Accelerating the clock 24 hours FIXED IT entirely. Thank you!

I couldn’t figure out why I set it, but the light wouldn’t come on! Your tip about scrolling through 24hrs did the trick. This has been driving me crazy for days. I don’t think I’ve ever commented on a RU-vid video, nor do I have any aquariums, but this video saved me my sanity. Definitely deserves the comment and a like! Thank you good sir!!!

There are a lot of useless laws out there, that make life difficult for people, but one law that would be very important to have is to require that companies set very precise instructions on how to operate their equipment / product or they will not be able to sell it.Thank you for helping me to figure out how to use this device. I struggled with this for days.

The reason why i looked for this video is because i am new for the co2 system. I came home, and saw that my co2 was on, after i saw it turning off at 4pm. i came home at 10pm and i noticed my solenoid box plug was on. Good thing i saw it on time, .No casualties or anything. I was wondering "There must be something wrong with my timer. "And yes, i googled this timer, which is similar to mine. And yes, it had the arrow pointing at the second timer, which indicated it had started an hour after 4 pm. And yes, you are right, the instructions on these timers are crap. Thanks a lot for this video. Very informative and efficient.

Bruce, Thank you so much for this video. I read the instructions included with the timer and like you said they are horrible! So I called their Consumer Care line and that got me nowhere (I think they should watch your video). So I thought I would take a chance and look on RU-vid...and "Praise the Lord" there you were with an easy to understand video. I especially want to thank you for the "This Is Important" section Because IT IS! Once I set the timer, following your instructions, I plugged it in but the light went on and wasn't supposed to come on for another hour and a half. Then I remembered your "This Is Important" and ran the clock thru a 24 hour time and the light went off. I am saving your video for future reference. Thanks Again!!

Thank you very much. Great job on explaining settings. The most important info begins at 6.10 into the video, I'm sure this stumps most people as it did me. This is very crucial as it appears there is something wrong with the timer and it is OK. Just plugging in after setting and waiting 24 hours, it should work as you want it to. This is a neat little timer when you understand it.

Can you turn the lights on before the set time? I have another timer that has a small switch to do that. I haven't figured out how to do it on this one. By the way Thank You for your video. It helped me understand how to set the time and ignore the second timer on the right.

Ok, apparently I’m slow. I was able to set it but I need help with plugging in the lamp and getting it to work. Should the lamp be in the on position? Does it work with lamps you have to turn a knob to turn on regularly? All the videos stop at setting the device.

Nice trick at the end. I always had to wait until tomorrow to have the device kick in. :)

Am i correct in understanding that this time sets and on and off time for the SAME TIME each day. You cannot set a different time for each day of the week?
