For many years I do all car maintenance by myself. This time I did a timing belt change.
I am not a mechanic, so follow me at your own risk :)

I use Citroen documentation and also the web to get all the necessary information.
As always, I started with the tools needed for a job. Camshaft pins are the same for the 1.6HDI engine which I had before.
Smaller tool for blocking flywheel I bought on eBay :

The larger one I made from 8mm steel and bend it so it fits between starter and engine.
Torque meter I use is also from eBay:

Chris, basically it should be the same with some minor differences. I suggest you look for a video for exact same motor.

hello, I changed the timing belt a month ago and now with the coming of the cold it starts hard for me many times even at the third key it starts, I changed the battery and in vain, many say it is probably the crankshaft sensor but watching your video I noticed that the tooth from the lower pulley is placed in the area at 11 pm, so to speak, I put that tooth at 12 o'clock ... maybe the distribution is bad and that's why it's hard for me to start? I want to mention that the day starts perfectly only in the cold morning and it's hard, thank you for your help

You can't and should not change the position if you blocked the engine as I showed in video. Nothing can be moved or you can finish with bad timing. If you did not lock engine correctly than that can cause starting issue. Did you lock the engine? Flywheel, camshaft?

@@slocitroman5075 hello friend, I only blocked the upper pulley as the diagram shows me on the autodata, the engine block not because my friend said there was no need, and I put the lower pulley with my tooth up at 12 o'clock. my car is doing well, it doesn't hit the pistons, nothing, just when it's too cold in the morning, it doesn't want to start at the first key! that feeling as if he didn't have enough diesel or electricity ... I don't know if it's the crankshaft sensor

@@roumanianbodybuilder you should lock engine properly. Your engine is for sure out of timing. Yes it still do not hit but it is off. You need first to correct that.
