Timothy Chalamet is good casting to play Bob Dylan, I think. Much like his recent performance as Willy Wonka, Dylan is a strange genius - an extraordinarily talented and charismatic outsider determined to follow his own path.

The proposed director just tanked the latest film in one of the most successful franchises (Indiana Jones) and locked in one of the largest and most embarrassing financial losses its studio ever suffered. It may be too bold from him to start spending his anticipated paycheck for this film. The film itself looks like a winner if done with some class.

Dylan deserves a good biopic. Mangold also produced Walk The Line.

So honestly, Bob Dylan is of course amazing, he's definitely one of the greatest American poets ever, but as a singer he doesn't have any special vocal range, so Timotheé could handle it just fine. I believe that Chalamet is a good choice, he is perfect for portraying the sensitive introvert Dylan, and he also fits the type.

I will definitely go see it....

I haven’t seen Chalamet’s acting in anything yet, but I have to say, it’s really difficult to not see him as a Nancy Wheeler lookalike every time I see him. I can’t see anything of Dylan in him, so he’s going to have some serious acting chops to make up for the cognitive dissonance.

why on earth would you compare elton john to legendary Bob Dylan? Elton is good, but no. He has the same formula in EVERY SINGLE SONG: 1st verse, chorus, 2nd verse, chorus, 1st verse repeated, chorus repeated.... Bob Dylan stands alone and Chalamet better do his best to sound like the Legend.

Mangold is a mediocre Director at best… Some of his movies are so bad they’re unwatchable. I can’t imagine he can understand the depths and the spirit of Bob Dylan. This movie is gonna suck. Cross my fingers because Timothy Chalamet as Dylan is a brilliant casting decision. But it takes way more than that to make a good movie.

Wait til Robert Zimmerman, and the Bob Dylan he morphed into , are dead at least a decade or two..as for now i think any body who finds Dylan's "early years" mildly interesting is because they were winding their way through those untraveled times themselves and are still reflecting on their own journies...and those under 50, consider him "one more brick in the wall" of their parents or grandparents generation

Is Dylan finally melting? With this guy directing. Dylan must be waiting to die and his vanity is finally showing through. Being religious he probably thinks there is an after life and doesn't want people making stories after his death as if saying it himself would prevent it. I am not there was perfect. This is not going to live up to it. I just say, I am.ambivalent about it; on the one hand I am glad that Dylan is no longer extraordinary but I am also sad for the same reasons. Motorbike accident that was never there.

I hope Bob removes any woke agenda crap that they will probably try to ooze into this movie. …and I’m sure they won’t play “Only a Pawn in Their Game”.
