I saw this when it aired; grabbed a VHS tape hoping it was blank; totally...absolutely blown away by the song and performance; so very original in all aspects. What a great vision by Bowie and the boys....awesome way to bridge the 80's into the 90's.

@Evan Hodge this band isn't looked too highly on by Bowie hardcore fans. It's upsurge they rocked.

I saw Tin machine at the Masonic Temple in winter of 1992,in Toronto. It was a smaller venue and the Temple certainly did have interesting acoustics. I loved the concert and think this music is really lasting, and relatable. I think Tin machine was underated .

Tin Machine was the Led Zeppelin that could have been if the critics weren't so superficial.

Love this. Bowie never looked better (it's the "Let's Dance" look, but with attitude), his voice never sounded better, his band was more kick ass than ever, and it was louder than anything before. Reeves Gabrels is the distillation of all of the great guitarists he's ever played with, and you can see just how much Bowie enjoys it when Reeves lets rip.

Bowie smiling at the chaos is hysterical. Reeves Gabrels can play some serious guitar. Wish he had had more exposure. The Sales brothers are also epic, playing for Iggy back in the day. Not a bad first album.

Good lesson: appreciate genius and passion when its in front on you cause it may be gone and lost forever tomorrow.

@@andreasalexander7071 That's what Ziggy did for people on the fringe a generation earlier! I'm confident TM will enjoy greater respect as time marches on. I saw the '91 tour in Philly at the Tower Theater, where DAvid Live was recorded. Magical.

In the next life, I hope to come back to a world where editors or cameramen understand music. You film a great guitar solo, but it gets destroyed by an editor that shows what the person in the front row looks like. Or my personal favorite, You have a great guitar solo, but you zoom in on the picking. Bitchin bass lick? sweet-ass drum fill? Let's see what the singer is doing. It never changes.
