This was the episode where they were practicing for a talent show. Each one started getting sick with some sort if flu until it was only Steve playing saxophone with the dog.
I love that show, especially the later episodes with Katie & Polly. ‘All good actors playing interesting characters. Musically, Tina Cole was way beyond all of them combined.
+Lava1964 Ha ha, isn't that funny, I'm the exact opposite; for years I had it in the back of my mind that I had seen Katie singing Dowtown in an episode of My Three Sons but thought I must have been hallucinating, thinking she kind of looked a bit like Petula Clark anyway. I'm not going crazy after all!
Most people forget, Robbie wasn't the oldest son. Mike was the oldest. He left the show and Ernie was adopted to continue with the 3 sons theme. Mike married Sally (Meredith McCrae) another beautiful blonde.
Part of the King family and the Four King Cousins. They released a CD a few years ago with some of their hits updated. Still for sale titled: More Today Than Yesterday - Classic Songs of the '60s & '70s
That's true. Actually, Fred Ma Murray's playing the saxophone is what helped him get started in Hollywood. William Demarest did play the cello in real life although I don't know if he was self taught. As for Don Grady, I don't know if he played the trumpet at all although he did play a few different instruments and wrote music.
@@williamlandolfi7858 Yes, I knew about Fred McMurray before seeing this, because my dad grew up in the big band era and told me about it. I was like, get out!
Its hard to tell because they have the curtains closed, but with the boys wearing white shirts and Tina a sleeve-less dress, I would say the season is probably late Spring or early Summer.
@@schallrd1 I wasn't aware of that. Thanks for letting me know. I have to say Tina Cole must have been very excited to sing what was a very popular song at the time on a top rated show with a big audience to display her musical talent.
Um I would say she is lip syncing and that's probably members of the wrecking crew on the track.....just sayin! She sang ,it just not live in the scene
