The guitarist from Dragonforce has reacted to Tina’s cover and actually reached out to her so they could perform together. The reaction video is on RU-vid.
She left RU-vid a few years ago, a lot of people thought she was deceased, but no she went to college to study law, and recently she just updated her RU-vid channel profile cover photo, so hopefully she will post something soon.
@@joeyc630 The person (a Romanian girl) who thought Tina was in law school mistook her big black dress for lawyers, but lawyers in France don't wear hats, it's graduation attire and it's not even Tina on the photo, because she had not finished her studies when the photo appeared !
she was 15 when she did this and yes she had 8 years of playing guitar but i have heard people that have been playing 30+ years and are no where near this skill level she is a true prodigy.
She was 15 when she recorded this 😂 Herman Li, the lead guitarist of Dragonforce and a guitar legend, was mindblown when he reacted to this. He said this is probably the best cover he has seen and when asked what she could improve, he responded “Am I even qualified to discuss this about her?”. The most stunning is that she plays both guitarists tracks (Herman’s and Sam’s) combined.
@@squidly2112 yes, it says a lot about Herman as a human being. He is humble, benevolent and open to discover greatness in others, while being himsef one of the GOAT.
well, Tina Setkic is the best, possibly the g.o.a.t. imho :) you have 3 more must see epic performances from her to check out her ‚big four‘. Beethoven moonlight sonata 3rd movement, a very long and very difficult piece (where she flawlessly averages 7 notes a second!), and the much more emotional pieces Steve Vai for the love of god and Jason Becker altitudes. Masterpieces. She did some of the most famous solos from others like Van Halen eruption, Pink Floyd comfortably numb, Megadeath tornado of souls, Metallica Master of puppets, Iron Maiden the trooper and Malmsteen arpeggios from hell. Some are rather short though and were completely effortless for her to play. Gary Moore the Loner is longer and very nice too.
And don't forget what she did with Best Of Times from Dream Theater, though a bit rough, shows how good John Petrucci is consdiering how good she did this song and For the Love of God
Since you liked her, you should check out the Japanese drummer Junna doing the same cover. I can't hear the song now without seeing Tina on guitar and Junna on drums. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-UKr1H4Jv6is.html&ab_channel=JUNNA
There used to be a mashup of Tina and Junna playing this together [side-by-side]. But, for whatever reason, it’s gone from YT now. But the mashup of Tina and Sina [another amazing, very young, Japanese female drummer] doing Iron Maiden’s “The Trooper” is still up. BTW, you should check out Kanade Sato and Senri Kawaguchi if you enjoy prodigal drummers. I’ve got friends that are very good drummers. Years of lessons and practice. And they’ll admit the stuff those two could play at twelve years old, they can’t play themselves.
@@frankiek2269 "But, for whatever reason, it’s gone from YT now" No, it still exists! : ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ikAcH5U0r4c.html
Her technique is so disgustingly efficient it makes me want to go lay down in traffic. I've only seen a couple guitarists (like in the entire history of electric guitar) that had this kind of amazingly calm precision. She's wasting nothing, and so she can play this song, flat-out, and at the end she looks like she's been relaxing comfortably for the last 10 minutes.
As a guitarist I can honestly say not a single thing was being on ff or whatever. Takes years of study and practice. One persistent ass guitarist. The mental discipline she has is crazy. Mad respect cause I still haven't built up that part. If I did I'd be playing a lot more often
It's funny that you said Dragonforce should take her on tour because Herman Li, one of the guitar players for Dragonforce actually reacted to this cover and even said he tried to reach out to her to get her to come to one of their shows. She was about 15 when she made this video and her last video was uploaded over 6 years ago. She got off of RU-vid and all social media and went completely dark for all that time. Some people actually thought she was deceased. But she just recently updated her profile pic to a current pic that shows she's well and still playing guitar. I've been watching her videos since before she stopped posting and have still gone back and watched her covers over the years because I prefer a lot of her covers to the real songs. Hopefully she'll post something new soon. But she has a pretty big following on RU-vid and reactions to her videos tend to do good numbers because she has so many fans on here. Great reaction too, I enjoyed the video.
Tina S is a youtube legend. Super glad shes back. I really like your reactions and I have a recomendation for a reaction video non music related but I think you would enjoy. " Eric Chien 2018 Fism Grand Prix Act -Ribbon-" Its a magic act and is super impressive sleight of hand, would love to see your reaction to that :D.
"She should tour with Dragon Force." Too late. Herman Li already gave out the invitation, alas education was more important. You never saw anything like that huh? Quite accomplished for a 15 year old. My comment after first seeing her presentation ........ decorum prevents me from reprinting those expletives.
The fact that she is nonchalantly chewing gum as she does this is another testament to her ability. She is playing two guitar leads at the same time. I love the Herman Li reaction…and he does invite her to play with them!!!
If you're really serious about checking out Tina S and her guitar mastery................... look up her Jason Becker cover of Altitudes. You won't regret it
Oh, there is are mistakes. The thing about incredible guitarists/musicians is the ability to just play through them or mask them into something that sounded intentional.
Tina S interview: "The comments of the jealous and the haters and trolls do not interest me, I don't care, they do not know the music and the guitar, they are unknows. That's Internet. It is only the reactions of the professionals that interest me, and I thank Van Halen, Pink Floyd, Dragonforce, Dream Theater, Jason Becker, Steve Vai for their congratulatory tweets!"

Yeah the 2nd part about 3/4 into it was absolutely mind blowing. I wonder what Vai thought right after she played her version of that segment? I really consider him the greatest player on the planet right now... with the exception of Tina, however. I know a person that knew Van Halen and he watched Tina and said that he never met her but also stated to my friend that she is right there with the best that ever played this instrument. My friend still has not heard Tina's play to my knowledge (perhaps in knowing Eddie who is now deceased is in denial?).
Maybe it's time to meet 5 beautiful ladies in high heels and dresses playing classic heavy metal? For starters, I recommend the song Break the Wall from their earlier albums. Boasting over 70 hit singles, they won Best New Metal Band at the Metal Hammer Awards in 2018. The girls play heavy, thrash, power and prog metal, they also have some beautiful ballads - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-5Pc0XK0lNmU.html
Tina S disappeared from RU-vid about 6 years ago, around the time the western world went to sh*t. Hopefully as there are signs she is returning, she will bring back the good times with her! (Oh, and this video wasn't one take - there are telltale signs that there were cuts. But that in no way dimishes her ability as probably the best guitarist I have ever seen.)
Yeah. You just listened to a Savant here, not a prodigy. And she is noted for her incredible speed without missing a single note. Oh. She's 15 here (and recently turned 25 I can't even imagine how good she is now). She's done many covers all from the best guitarists on the planet and tell you what she's right there or ahead of all of them. Herman Li (the lead guitar of Dragonforce) did a reaction of this of her you may wanna watch it. She is the supreme guitar player that nobody knows. Yep a guitar Goddess that plays in her own league.
The solo of the song lasts 2 min 4 s. This song features in the video game Guitar Hero III : Legends of Rock : it is considered one of the longest and most difficult songs to play due to the large number of notes (3,722 notes) and its high speed .
I just learned about this young lady 1 week ago. And have watched a dozen reaction videos and 30 or so of her videos.. including her recent ones with the total transformation of her appearance.. .. I learned she disappeared from tube for a long time and is now back.. She is otherworldly.. she’s 15 yrs old here.. I’m guessing 25-26 now.. idk…. She is a savant when it comes to guitar.. she’s better than everyone.. stellar…
She turned 25 last week. Yep she's a Savant when it comes to guitar playing as she absolutely plays in her own league. And she's still cute but does not flaunt it she really doesn't have to. You can tell she's Tina though as she plays with the same stoic look & mannerisms about her. We just need to see more of her work because I don't know if she writes music. Dragonforce, Steve Vai, Gary Moore, Van Halen & others most often write a lot of their own stuff. You know there are a lotta great guitarists both now and in the past but Tina is right there with all of them. Most certainly no other female is anywhere near close to being in her league and in fact that probably goes for almost all males as well.
It is truly overwhelming, she is the exact definition of a young virtuoso, she has an unimaginable, unique talent, the guitar is just another extension of her body, she belongs to another distant galaxy, Mexico
She is doing both guitars you should watch Dragon force do it so you can see what she is really doing. Herman Le did a reaction to her and basically flipped out.
Ok all Here is the latist on Tina s she's in a band called Spin Twice and heres the first song they drooped on youtube about 7 hrs agao ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-kNua-Bmhyaw.html
The stem track was pulled from guitar hero, and shes acutally playing both guitarists parts as they couldn't be separated from each other, so she plays both at the same time!! Mind blown!! Great reaction!!
I’m not a fan of the song or the band.. it’s not what I would choose to listen to other than for a reaction.. BUT… I can recognize talent… this is some complicated guitar work. It takes years.. decades for most people yo get to this level
She was 16 when this video was recorded. She took backtrack & vocals from the Guitar Hero game, where this song was split into few tracks. And yeah, she shreds. Herman Li (one of the two lead guitarists of Dragonforce band) reacted to this video and highly appreciated her skills calling this probably the best guitar cover ever. Another cool thing is that in original song solo are performed by both guitarists and on her cover she adopted it to play both of their parts. PS: And no, it's no a speed up video. Watch her hairs, you can tell it's original speed by it. The original song are also that fast and is pretty well known for that.
yes, she is playing that fast, a lot of ppl start saying she upload edited and FF videos and thats the first motive because she stopped to upload videos to yt, and leave, but now SHE IS BACK! and soon we will have new music on her youtube channel.
you should also check out Junna doing the same song but the drum cover, yeah they use the Guitar Hero versions of the song so they can remove the guitar parts and then add their own same goes for Junna's cover, also should add she played both guitar parts here
Tina is unlicensed and her channel is not monetized, and she does not sell anything. DragonForce can ask for royalties but he doesn't care, said Herman LI, he lets the covers do it!
Lol. The truth is since she has the original backing tracks from Dragon Force playing too, this could be copyrighted. Herman Li [one of the Lead Guitarist for Dragon Force] remarked that it could be copyrighted. He just laughed it off though, and said during his reaction video of her playing their song that if he ever wanted a break during a show, he could have her come out and play it. Apparently their band heard this way back in ‘16 and later when they toured, they tried unsuccessfully to get in touch with her to join them onstage while they were near Paris.
Studying LAW ?????? In her school Télécom SudParis who is a major engineering, research and innovation school in information and communication science and technology !!!!! Are you sure, HAHAHAHA LOL !!
