Played finger-style classical guitar from age of 6 to 13 and learned to play without looking at the fretboard while reading music. On most of her vids, she hardly looks at the fretboard! Got her first E guitar at 13 and in the next 4 1/2 years put out 16 killer vids of exceptional guitar covers. Many people agree that some of her covers are better than the originals. She played this song at 15 yrs old! Her Van Halen vid was her first on YT at 14yrs 2mns old. Watch her Steve Vai, Gary Moore, Jason Becker, and John Petrucci (Dream Theater) covers for some incredible technical prowess and killer bends and vibrato. She stopped posting on YT when she went to college to study technology. Some players criticize her for not showing emotion while she plays but, that is because of her classical training. Listen to the covers I mentioned and you will hear the emotion in her playing! She is a unique artist! Please do more Tina S videos.

Sure, she's incredible BUT what's the point if all she can do is covering other's songs? I'd prefer a less talented guitarist who's able to create a great song, over Tina S. covering it.

@@ericsicard910 Sorry, I've never heard about her band. Maybe you can point us to where to find it ? Regarding the analogy with concertists, you got a point here, I admit but still, I feel there's still something missing, at least for me.🤔

@@Onlygloo Sure. First I would recommend you to check some of her other covers if you didn't yet, especially her covers of For The Love of God, Altitudes and The Loner. There she definitely plays with a lot of emotions (in her play, not on her face though). Here are the 3 songs she released with her band and that she has entirely composed: What's Wrong with Me? : ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-kNua-Bmhyaw.htmlsi=DEYfD26dlBdjC-i- Gravity: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-FJ6SabX59dQ.htmlsi=wvKsQXxp-OXKQOSu One of Us: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-eP2h3TV9Fh8.htmlsi=SKpATjn4R0Cy27qY She said in an interview she is composing the musics of the band. When they released these first 3 songs they were still looking for a bassist that would be in tune with the group vibes. And don't expect to see amazing solos in these 3 songs: this is not her main focus anymore (she said she used it to train and acquire skills) and she will only create songs with such solos if it adds something to the song and is consistent with it.

@@ericsicard910 That's awesome and very kind of you ; THX a lot! Will check this out and I'm sure that'll help me get a better sense of her abilities. If the opportunity occurs, I'll pass the word and return the favor to others, as you just did for me ;o) Peace out!

The real story behind Tina S disappearing from the public domain, was that she was recalled back to her home planet. But recently returned to shred among us earthlings.
@ulfdanielsen6009
@ulfdanielsen6009 20 дней назад
To me the most mindblowing part of this is the fact that she is actually blending the two guitar solos of the song into one and then giving it her own spin and flavour. Even Herman Li dropped his jaw watching it, stopped the video, looked into the camera and went: Fååårk! Even though her band upon her return essentially is a garage Grunge band, she is in her early twenties and learning how to write rock songs and being part of a band. It´s not fantastic and people are giving her flack for this, but come on, she´s got a lifetime to learn that skill. She has long ago proven herself to the world and I hope this is the beginning of a long a fruitful life for her as one of this worlds most gifted, talented and skillful guitarists. None of us can hold a candle to her.

Tins S was 15 when she did Fire and Flames. Her RU-vid vid Bo has 32M views. Herman Li's reaction video has 4.5M views and he said her cover was most assuredly the best. Blew his mind. Also, Tins S started taking lessons at 6 years of age. Did you notice the little smile just before she started? I think it is amazing that she rarely if ever watches what she is doing with her fingers. She now has her own band which, I hope, is doing well although you never hear anything about them.

There are at least 14 covers (including the two you have you referee to) that you need watch, all of which will prove that she is the absolute master. Thank you for your honesty. Myself a pianist and organist for 50+ years; also been playing in a band for thirty of its forty years of existence. However, I will/can never compare or compete with the big guns out there. Also been a member of a band for 40 years. You can well imagine the really great bands and musicians over the years... So also, in light of my own experience, and in my humble opinion, after listening (repeatedly) to all her covers and knowing what I know about the world of musicians out there, I tell you in no uncertain terms that Tina SETKIC is currently the world's best guitarist. Mind you, there a lot of very young guitar players across the world. The difference is not just speed. It's the really technical issues, the finer dynamics, the intricacies, skill in exactly how, what when to execute what needs to be executed. Thanks for your reaction. I like.

Great reaction bro. Herman lee the lead for dragon force said and i quote" if i don't want to play this song again, i know who to call. Tina was 15 when this was recorded. She was classically trained. Thats why you dont see facial expression on the wah or all thru the song. Do you know any lead guitarist doesn'take faces thru the lead. Watch Gary Moore's " the loser and then Tina's version. Gary is having seizures while tina looks bored. Never seen anything like her, and probably won't again. I've been playing for 55 years, and nobody does what she does. Hopes she comes bach or music has suffered a very great loss. Props bro ❤😢

I've seen Tina's videos literally hundreds of times. She is mindblowing! This is the only performance I think that's taken from more than one play through. The guitar neck and body close-ups reveal her hair in different places and it's the same with the whammy bar. Far from being a criticism, it's just an observation. The fact that her repeat playing is accurate and seamless enough to do this is a testament to her insane talent. TTFATF is more of a technical exercise and requires little soul or feel to accomplish, more so exceptional skills, which Tina obviously has. The fact that For The Love Of God, Altitudes and The Loner are played through in one take so brilliantly just goes to show that the multiple angles in this video were more for aesthetics than an attempt to cover any shortcomings, which some have suggested over the years I've watched this superb display.

Those two are the best of Tina that I have seen. I would really like to see more of Angelina Jordan as well. Getting back to the topic of Tina S., she looks to be 13 to 14 in some of her videos. When I think back to myself at that age and how I reacted to any criticism, it's not hard to imagine why she might drop off of RU-vid when controversy arouse. I don't know any details, but I did read that there was controversy about videos seeming to be modified. It's just a dammed shame that some people would react negatively to a young girl of obvious talent in any way other than to support her and encourage her. With such a talent, I can only wonder what her life could've been, would she live 50-60 years earlier. She could've been lead guitarist with any top band of the era. The only question is, can she create some music on par with her guitar skills, because if the answer is negative, then she'll ever be nothing more than a circus attraction among many on YT.

You need to watch Herman Lee react to Tina he is calling her cover of her song the best he has ever heard and he even tried to get her to come and play with them and he had no answer he tried in the video as well she is endorsed by her Guitar company she was 14 in this song as well she was endorsed then yo -yo

I remember her. When she played Moonlight Sonata it was the only time I remember that she seemed to enjoy a piece of music. She completely disappeared once she turned 18.

Emotions are present in all her covers. You have to be able to read the faces that don't grimace in an exaggerated way. Honestly, you can't reach that level if you don't have the passion.

@@franckyf4874 Naw - I've been watching her since she was a little kid. I was always amazed at her facial stoicism. And I know she played things she liked - why do it otherwise? But that Sonata was different. I think she was 17 or 18 and it was just a different performance. It's my favorite. Not sure, but I think it was her last video release. I was looking forward to seeing what she'd do as an adult - but nope. And I've looked over the years. She has to be in her 30s by now.

She released new music of her new band Spin-Twice last September. Look at her channel. Had some stories on her socials last week, so more music is likely cumming soon.
