Tina was good at exposing what she wanted and hiding her own dirt. Once she reinvented herself she exploited that battered wife narrative. She was resentful that she didn't get the alimony and property she had asked for. Ike admitted that he had fights with Tina and he was wrong, but the violence in their relationship was one-sided as portrayed. Most musicians and singers who worked with Ike have positive things to say about their experience.

Never read anything about Ike or Tina. I grew up in that time listening to their music. Tina did well after they were divorced. She moved to Europe, and reinvented herself, she was a smart and talented lady. Mick Jagger even stated that if she was white., then she would have been bigger in the states. I salute her and say. Well done Tina, your journey is over. So if it makes anyone feel better by putting her down, I say go for it.

I love Tina, I don't care what she does in her private life. She doesn't need to put her life out there. She has a right to keep her business to herself. I don't care what she s done I would love her anyway

I knew there was clearly an agenda with the film when they left out that Tina had a baby at 18 before Ike. They sanitized her character and villainized more than necessary. If the movie had followed the book more closely it would've have been much more fascinating.

So she had a baby at 18, that is her private life. She was a smart woman and I loved her music. I do not give a damn about her private life, wish she was still here singing, Nut Bush and many more of her songs

@@joannejennings7649Tina made her life an open book. Her personal relationship with Ike was private but that didn't stop her from writing books, signing off on a movie, making documentaries and a musical.
