When I was in Morocco I always ended up with Berbers. Great people, so very helpful and kind. Best hosts ever. They are very ancient and they are very spiritual. But when we went in to the Sahara and were accommodated by Berber/Tuareg camp it was magic. The bled, the stars, the fire, the songs, the dances. And finally the trip back to Marrakesh and listening to Tinariwen was like going stratospheric!
I have experienced this too, I have been to Morocco twice, once was the Sahara desert, I have tickets for a Tinariwen concert in UK, looking forward to it
@@janetlee3035 thanks for the great feedback , tinariwen they are from Mali ( kidal ) and some of them from algerie , they are our favorits groups in Morocco specialy in sud the desert , i recommend you this groups too , ( Bombino - Tamikrest - Kader tarhanin - Terkaft ) enjoy & welcome again in Morocco ,
We had the same experience on our special tour. There were only ten of us. Very intimate. The people were so fabulous. Do you know the proper word for Berber is Imazighen? It means free people.
Tinariwen videos are the only place on youtube I've found that have no negative comments. Feels like this music brings everyone together. Seriously, on one of their videos I found a man from Western Sahara who offered to buy and ship a traditional drum to a man who was wondering where to find one. Everyone here is kind and helpful, and there's something to be said about that.
That's good mate, but there are loads of bands that only attract positive vibes. Look for the cult bands, any genre. They have real fan appreciation who are there for the music and feel, not popularity. I'm not having a go at popular bands or people who like them; but their popularity also attracts people who fell the need to detract from the vibe.
There are other channels like this, for example, the Magpie Sherlock Holmes Audio, WDR Klassik or the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra. Those have very nice comments. But you´re right, channels like that are rare. And it certainly says something about them.

Don’t even know how did I end up here but occasionally one has luck and finds the best music so glad I found my way to your channel love from Sudan 🇸🇩❤️
I was listening to Kurt Vile and the algorithm landed me here. For once - I'm happy for it. These guys are the real deal. Looking forward to hearing more from them!
Morrocan coloniser ? Hahahaha .. you really made me laugh , you probably don't know shit about our history, so don't come at last , read some articles here and there and get to conclusions ( especially if it's to blame a country )
First I listened to that song these days on a trip was in the middle of sahara merzouga in car that crashed the desert's hills, with driver that name's youssef such a great driver and fun friend, we all had much fun screaming in the middle of sahara. The second time that i listened to is in night in the middle of desert under the black sky with big and many stars , fire in middle of round people with ghenawa tunes . Such unbelievable trip wish repeat it as soon as possible
yess I had a berber driver who loved this band drive me through merzouga as well. He felt connected to them but couldn't actually understand it. I thought it was interesting that morocco used tuareg iconography a lot in it's tourism despite the country not having an actual tuareg population.
You are the best to show the world how people can unite and come to a common goal. Freedom, unity but with respect to everyone's background.I love your music as it incorporates so many different influences, but they all come together and form a solid basis. Thank you for the influence your music creates.
All I know about Algeria is North African country, in the Sahara. I would like to know more. I like this music, it's very different. I like different kinds of things. Thank you to whoever posted this.

@@mlml3590 pas de panique Jugurtha le Grand guerrier berbère disait je suis Africain alors Maliens algériens jusqu'au confins du Burkina Faso sont tous amazighs et notre ciment c'est l'islam et l'africanite.
I read that the +10:1 reads "An Empty Place" in the Touareg language, but I love how it also (to me) implies overcoming the odds, as in 'more than 10:1 odds'. Seems fitting considering the rebelliousness of their music.
