Fun facts: The two female dancers have been dancing with Tinashe for the last 3 years now , ever since her joyride tour, And the guy in the Yoshi onesie is her brother, Thulani!!
Hateuuh If she released this after the 2 on era (when they were always playing that song on the radio) She wouldn’t be underrated. But her label ruined every chance to make her really famous.
I missed this Tinashe soo much this is why it’s important to have freedom over your own music her recent album sounds great 😌 And to anyone making music🖕🏾these big name record labels you can do it!!
*I love the fact that she can put anything out when she wants, how she wants. We have to support this talented queen. She literally gave us one of the best albums this year. Songs For You is a gem.*
The look of joy on Tinashe's face is what it looks like to win the battle for your passion in an industry that really is no longer supportive of art and artists. Whatever ya'll are doing out here, do it 100%, advocate for yourself and don't let anybody else try to control YOUR journey, tell YOUR story, or shape YOUR narrative. I look at her and I look at JoJo and damn... they really tried to play these women but LOOK AT THEM NOW. Nothing will keep you from what is meant for you if you keep fighting for it!
Should both videos, individually, focus on simply one emotion, each?? That's monotonous and unlike life in ones own head, so it's untrue to human experience ro focus on just one emotion at a time. Oops, but I had to point out the error in your explanation.
There's almost a continuity to Tinashes music, too, and it has a sort of "je no c'est quoi," a sort of,I'm not too sure what it is. But I think. They call it a melody, or they used to, back when they put those in songs, decades ago. Strange it is not not really there, as in it is infantile, and watered down for capitalist consumption, but it's technically there, in existence!
I don't blame her for making a visual. She must've enjoyed her time there :) I can see why..Why else would i be living in japan? Everyday is a visual! GO TINASHE!!
I don't usually listen to R&B, especially not modern R&B, but I enjoy TInashe in a way that I haven't seen since the late 90's. Hope she finally gets the respect she deserves.
Correct me if im wrong, i believe when she first released “touch n go” as her second single, i didnt see 6lack promoting the single as well the fact that he’s being featured in the song. Then for so much better, i didnt see any promotions too from g eazy. I wish tinashe gets the support she deserves.
it’s so frustrating, even more bc 6lack messaged her saying that they should collab. I wish he promoted the song, I also don’t think Makj who I believe produced this song, he didn’t promote it either.
Those guys are in the industry, right? Tinashe is independent. So let me try and break it down like this. Those guys are the "cool kids" who have friends that aren't "cool". So you can see them after school but you can't sit with them at lunch. G-Eazy and 6lack can send verses to whoever they want... however, they can't promote working with an independent artist bc its not part of their deal with their record label and their label doesn't get any money from this verse only the artist does.
Cant believe there are so many people that think 2 On is her best song. The fuck is wrong with yall? Tinashe has hundreds of far better songs before AND after that song.
though it's a "turn up"/party song, the song is actually very well written melodically. listen again and pay attention to the details. it doesn't get old cuz of the effort there was put into
That's what I be telling people, she got literally HUNDREDS of songs, most of them unreleased or on her mixtapes. And Nightride is her BEST ALBUM.... BY FAR. Songs For You is her NEWEST masterpiece & Aquarius is ALSO a bonafide masterpiece (Cold Sweat, Bet, Bated Breath & Feels like Vegas are the BEST songs off that album, not 2 On. So people who think that clearly didn't listen to the whole album). Tinashe is a multi-faceted GODDESS and it's time she started receiving her fucking credit.
@gmoneyyy69 Norman's label didn't pay all of them celebrities to "promote" her, they took notice, were impressed and wanted to share why. At the end of the day celebs showing public love gave her a boost/hype. Not the label.
@@LPAFilm I like Normani she's an incredible dancer but let's be real, Tinashe is a superior artist in comparison (not that I'm even trying to compare). But Tinashe can sing better, dance, write, direct, produce, and so much more. She created ALL her own music in her bedroom before being discovered..... and every song she made is AMAZING. Normani gets hype for being a darker complexion since we're in the "black power movement" these days, and I get that shit I'm black too. But giving people hype like Lizzo for being overweight or Normani for being dark skinned is low key gimmicky. Tinashe deserves WAY MORE hype just for the SHEER DIVERSE TALENT she has. Too bad Tinashe has no gimmick & no controversy, so people don't know how to pay attention. People attention spans are getting shorter & shorter every year and real talent slips through the cracks because of it.
@@mslovely8991 Spare me the bio on Tinashe lol. I'm very familiar with her work pre and post label. Also, it's always hilarious to see a Stan or fan open up with "I don't want to compare...BUT...yea okay. Let's be real. Normani is an incredible PERFORMER as in dancer and singer. Tinashe's vocals are nothing to write home about and she is pretty much in the same lane vocally as Normani and *insert r&b girl*. She can sing but can easily be compared and or mistaken for almost any other r&b/pop girl. She's a decent dancer. I can think of a few girls that got her beat in that department though by a landslide, Normani being one of them. *shrug* Also you are either really young or dumb AF LMAO! "We're in the black power movement" Huh?? Normani gets hype because she is an amazing performer and her INDUSTRY peers who have watched her grow have taken notice and show love. Period. Her being dark-skinned comes SECOND to her being hella talented. Lastly, to play devil's advocate, let's say that Normani is getting attention because as you put it "she is dark skinned during the "black power movement" LOL, what would be wrong with that? Cookie cutter light skinned chicks have pretty much always received mainstream attention based on looks alone and half the talent. *shrug*
I so admire her for pushing through to be able to be patient and let her artistry be her #1. Full disclosure I'm 40 and whiter than snow but it doesn't matter because I'm so in awe of talented and gifted artists who have had to persevere through all the B.S. and stay true to themselves! 🎤Mic drop🎤!
Her talent, passion, drive and spirit are just so radiant. She is unmatched when it comes to incredible content. From lyrics to visuals to the timing of everything; just her voice, period. She's fucking immaculate . Everything she does is flawless.
Just had a mental breakdown (again) and was idealizing suicide. This really made my day. My angel did it again. Thank you Tinashe from the bottom of my heart.
Music is always there no matter what other people do. But please treasure the good things in life no matter how painful the hard things are. Think of life as ups and downs and the more downs you have only makes the ups more valuable and worth living for. Daze Yates is right the beautiful things make it worth it. There are people out there who love who you are.
Been there. It will get better. Talk to people, get out, do new things, keep yourself busy. Life is an asshole but we gotta make the best of it! Anything else is not an option!
I’m so fucking proud of you! I feel like I’m watching a completely different artist. “Mixtape” Tinashe has grown and the only problem was direction from RCA. I’m so glad you’re indie now.
I’m so happy Tinashe is doing what she wants to do and breaking out the mold of pop star. She’s a special type of artist that does a lot more than what society expects of her. I’m glad she’s gaining recognition
I wasn't a fan of Tinashe before because I felt like it wasn't all her potential and her voice but one of her songs like "Like I used to" and that album which I heard she made personally as her own project I really loved it made my lazy ass actually dance like I was so depressed till I heard that like wow Then I wanted more because I knew she was a Queen hiding in a princess I am so glad to see that Queen again keep going and you'll be all that everyone is talking about I believe in you💜💜💜💜
@@laradinda_ actually no 😂I didn't know Tinashe from him I just heard about her and I've seen her come up a few times in my life especially when I saw her dance in Jay park video I shook that a black female was dancing in his song so I checked her out 😂but right after I then found out that BTS likes her
Big record labels are failing. Slowly but surely and should. The music made by artists on their own are amazing and untouchable. TINASHE is the perfect example of this. 💙
Tinashe is underrated and I believe she is because she unangry unbothered mixed girl. I love every part of her and so so happy that she shared herself with us.
This song is so underrated and it’s annoying! It’s catchy, video is a whole vibe, and the aesthetic is A1. This needs to be in the billboards and Tinashe needs the shine she deserves.
I remember this song from the London listening party because it had the disco type ‘four on the floor’ beat that is different to what Nashe has done before but in the best way. Perfect merging of both pop sensibilities with the alt-R&B rhythms = winning 💕💕
I was so sad listening these music of today empty of sense and emotion. Thank you Tinashe your album is so fiiiiiiree and emotionally deep for some moments in our lives that we need music which talk to our soul. We can feel it
This is her best debut album. Her new songs are dope and rarest of all gems. I wish she could have a collab album in the future wherein her featured artists are : The Weeknd, Zayn Malik,Gallant,Ed Sheeran, BTS J-HOPE, Normani,Ariana Grande, Sabrina Claudio and Janet Jackson if that would happen I will literally be so 10x proud of her and that would widen her biggest achievement in her music career. 😘😍😎
this just might be one of my all-time fav Tinasha vids cause it's so carefree and her stunningly beautiful self fits so well in the mesmerizing Tokyo setting! ❤😭
I knew she always had it, was just being held back. Im so glad i get to hear the music u can hear she loves making. I loved NightRide so much when i tried to listen to her more mainstream stuff there was a disconnect and it makes sense why.
