As Spring comes to an abrupt end and Summer gets into full flow, the early window in which to target Tench rapidly begins to close as the annual spawning routines lay just around the corner.
It’s early June and temperatures have been in the low to mid-twenties for a couple of weeks, and wall to wall blue skies have provided almost Mediterranean conditions.
Weather conditions such as these may be ideal for soaking up the sun, but when it comes to fishing, they definitely limit the chances of success. With this in mind, but still keen to have one last crack at a few Tincas before they turn their attentions elsewhere, we opt for another overnight session in a bid to take advantage of more suitable feeding conditions during the short hours of darkness.
This venue proved fairly fruitful in chapter two, so let’s see what it has in store for chapter four.
