I used to have a Pandora PX2 back in the day but this is way beyond that. The P2 sounds every bit as good as my Fractal FM3 but there is a drum machine and a looper that can sync together. It takes me 5 minutes to rig up my FM3 with my laptop to play drum loops. This is really appealing for somebody like me who just widdles about at home and records the odd thing now again. Tempting to sell the FM3. Excellent demo as always Leon.
Really satisfied with my P1. Paid like 90$ CAD brand new for it on amazon. Fast fowards 2 years, the p1 is like 250$ min anywhere. My recommendation: Hold on. those mooers are currently seing an over price. Seriously, I could back make 5x what I spent on my p1 if I'd sell it right now. Seen some of them get sold at 500$. The P1.... 500$... and even for that price, I wouldn't get rid of it. that being said, Hold on people. NOW ain't the time to buy them.
@@brunovassalofotografia4349 That requires the desktop Mooer Studio app. It can’t be done in the mobile app. I wish they added an option in the desktop app to import your own custom made GNR capture files.
It didn't sound too great to my ears, and i noticed you didn't say too much about that either. For the price it maybe seems kinda okay though, and it's impressive what can be packed into a little box like that these days. For a beginner wanting a 'do it all' kinda thing though i think something like a Boss Katana probably still craps all over this thing.
I think the price and form factor is the real attractive part about this - it's something I can keep in my guitar case and use for practicing or warming up before shows and it requires a cable and a set of headphones to work. Light years ahead of my old Zoom 707!
I've seen the Ola England review and the heavy tones were awesome to me...for a unit this small and relatively cheap...but maybe for 100 more I would get a Tonex
This has to be the tiniest modeller released thus far. Mooer makes some really cool stuff. A friend of mine has a combo of the Mooer Preamp Live + Tube Engine power amp running through a 2x12, and it sounds glorious!
Sounds like a lot of people experiencing noise issues (check out Martin Scheuter's vid). Not on every unit, but enough that Mooer should at least acknowledge the issue. Also the looper function has got some serious issues. Ive bought and returned two, and changed every other variable hoping it was something else and still no joy. anyone else had issues?
I had a Korg Pandora 2 which was a great little practice tool (didn't sound great by today's standards...) Might have to see about getting one of these though for some front room practice, a bit more portable than the AxeFx
Very interesting product. The official website says "ultra-compact audio interface". I wonder if this means that I can also use it as a portable audio interface to play with my DAW. I'd love having some flexiblity so I can also use my VSTs when I am plugged to my computer.
This would be awesome for quiet practice and travel like I'm doing now. Nice set of in ear monitors and I would think you would be set. Great video, always enjoy your take on things!
That thing sounds pretty good, something like this might be a good way for us old analog guys to get into modeling. In fact it’ll probably everything that 95 percent of us need, but needing ain’t got nothing to do with it right ?
If it had a total size screen, it would be easier to use and see a best view and more control of the operations, and make changes faster . . . Lack of compatibility with windows leaves out millions of possible users
The mooer stuff I've picked up here and there have always been good for there price range, this little box is cool, these tiny things seem to get better every couple of years. Interesting times friends!
It's a cool rig. I have the P1 and disappointed that they didn't do much or any of an update to the P1. Forcing those who have the P1 to buy the P2. I am still keeping my P1, great for practice and a back up, since I bought a Valeton GP 200 and might intertwine the P1 in the fx loop. But these small modelers are super due to its size for traveling, great for beginners who want to make greasy sounds ( play with the pitch shifter and managed to get a dtune tone😊). Just lots of cool surprises in these units.👍
Sounds pretty good. I'm a little old school, I need to have that sound pressure and volume to feel like I'm actually getting what I want. Yet, sounds great.
Did I hear some “Midnight”-sounding riffs in there (as well as Ragdoll)? I’m ashamed of how good those tones sounded to me, as a card-carrying FAS devotee.
I’m running Logic on my iPad and it drained it sooooo fast. I’m sure you’re speaking about the P2, but if connected to an iPad make sure you have a charger ! That being said, this was the first time I’ve ever recording anything!!!!!!
It sounds decent: I still have a Korg Pandora - I used to Velcro it on my guitar along with a power bank and wireless so I could play totally free. It worked pretty good but I bit noisy for stage use. Hopefully the P2 is better?
Very impressive Leon, all that stuff in there and load IR's. I have the Pocket GT for fast set up and practice on headphones, awesome for that. I had the Pandora, the noise it made was like someone frying chips in the background all the time.....🤣
Hmmm... I've been trying to figure out something compact and simple that can be used in conjunction with basic recording functionality for sitting around and noodling while watching tv (tried a low price laptop, but amp sims bogged it down). Maybe this in conjunction with a laptop or tablet and an interface and small speaker. Might make more sense to just dump the couple hundred bucks into a different laptop centric attempt though. I've gotta ponder
Its amazing i love to have one you can gift me one its my dream to play guitar with this and Record my guitar and play along with songs of dokken 🎸⭐🌟🌟🌟🌟⭐🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸
I got the Prime P1 + F4 footswitch in a bundle with a discount back in January. It actually sounds very good and works great. I've got several banks of patches (cleans, rhythms and leads) that I organized for easy navigation using the F4 which also controls the looper and the drums (which I don't really use) Not seeing anything in the P2 features I really need.
Is it possible to blend the dry and wet signal when using 3rd party IRs? Does the level fader in the cab section influence the entire output, or just the IR level? Thanks!
Mooer do some great gear and was my way back into guitar after a 20 year break. The slo engine is a killer pedal and i still use even with all my new gear and to top it of some killer Whitesnake and Lizzy 🤘🤘
From my past playing with a pod for years, I can't fault this for beginners. But after building a Soldano SLO100 from scratch, and then using the NAM to capture it, this little guy just doesn't cut it. However, it's still bananas to see all that technology in such a small device. Great for students and enthusiasts, but Todd and I can make anything sound good 👍
Hi! The features are AMAZING. This been said, I suppose sound wise that this device is more on the Spark/Zoom territory. I couldn’t believe that is even close than Fractal. What do you say people? Just wanna know. Tks.
Nice & great job! This would probably be a great backup that always stays in the guitar case that can go direct into PA just in case. I believe it has an optional BT footswitch too. Can you set up presets, like clean, breakup, OD and switch between them if needed with app?
I've been looking at getting the ampero 2 for a bit to replace bringing my 800 around to gigs, but now this has peaked my interest! pros and cons for this vs the ampero 2? this sounds amazing so far
Hi, just bought one of these with the footswitch, it’s fantastic. I bought it as back up for gigs, I currently use hx stomp into headrush frfr but might use this now instead, so tiny and compact yet sounds awesome.
I'm using an A2S and it's apples and pears... But it depends on what you want. This P2 is really nice and great for rehearsing etc but what I heard sofar on YT doesn't impress me soundwise. To me it sounds more like a 12:33 Nux MG300. Nothing wrong with, had it myself. If you want the sound and flexibility, go for the A2S.
