@@richardramirez1489 everyone can do it, but it’s not about the application only. So many different factors, your cleanliness, prep method, amount of dirt on the car. You may be able to do it but I doubt it would look good 🤣
Tint inside with closed doors and no fans blowing dust around. Have clean dash towel and use plenty of solution just don’t smoke the inside of the car especially if you don’t have a rope tucked into the dash and windshield area.
OMG, my customers really do bring their vehicles to my shop looking like your example. Lol No matter what you tell them. 😂 Your technique is a proven one for installation. Back in the 1980s we called it the California roll. You look like you do a fantastic job. ❤
I am a window film installer But your work gives me a new experience What I do before heating is soapy waterSpraying But what you are doing seems to be using some other liquid material.......please replay
Then you can take the money you saved by not going to a tint shop and spend it on the ticket you will receive by tinting the windshield cause that's super fucking illegal
It's very not legal to tint your windshield in a lot of states. I think some UV protectors are allowed as long as they don't change the color of the glass.
@@dominicfrost8627 with so many dumb people on the loose I dont know why you get triggered when someone points out NOT to make such mistake... unless you enjoy others misfortune then that's totally understandable coming from you
Question. If I have to replace my window motor/regulator, being that I can take the window in and out at this point. Do you think it’s a good idea to tint it out of the vehicle or in? I’ve done tinting in the past but only while in the vehicle. Just curious on your thoughts
The risk you run of tinting windows outside of the vehicle is scratching the tint while reinstalling the window. There’s so many things inside the metal door panel you can hit it on. It’s not impossible, but I don’t find it easier
Lol, that's how I done it last time. Left it in the garage for a couple of days when I had the time. That was like 12 years ago... I need to do it again.
You can get a great outcome with the glass outside of the vehicle but the main problem you will fight is dust contamination from the glass laying flat instead of being upright. You will want to figure out how to safely support it in a standing position to minimize airborne dust falling into the glass during install.
To anyone doing this MAKE SURE YOU PUT A ROLLED TOWEL OR ROPE ON DASH AGAINST GLASS!!! Serious electrical issues if not properly protected so use a blanket/towels like the video
Just spent 600 on full ceramic. Had them redo the front x2 due to contaminants then he comes and tells me 'I can't guarantee 100% no contaminants' 😅😅😅 what a way to set customer expectations.... Hmmm
Really annoyed with these. I hate window tint. Bought a car with it on every window. 10 sections in total. I couldn't see at night. Took them out and had to learn the best way to remove the remaining glue. It took several hours to remove, then I had to go back and clean them again. I hate window tint.
The easiest way is to hire a professional to do it so it gets done right. I know my limitations. I can't even cleanly pull plastic wrap off the roll without it balling up into a mess.
