Companies just love it when your pet is the size of the cage. It helps make sure your pet doesn’t get to large. This cage is the perfect size for a puppy to keep them a puppy forever.
When filming this I did quickly check for a protective layer on the acrylic and didn’t feel/see anything......after posting this I checked again and I was wrong, there is a film on it but it was just very hard to get off 😂 I will film a quick part 2 today to show what it looks like without it, and post it here once it’s up. Oops EDIT: update video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1LTSxKAlnfg.html
I really hope no one has a Chinchilla in that thing. Nor a degu or hamster. The only purpose for such a case would be as a hamster travel case, if the ramp, wheel, etc were removed.
@@ruru1824 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-UJiauIekwOQ.html it's in the description since theres multiple places to get it. And i love her channel in general and I think everyone would too
Thank you so much to show me that these cages are gold!im gonna move my ham from his detolf to this one!OOH! I should tOtAlLy add in some cotton and pine bedding and a 4.5 inch wheel!.maybe also add in a bunny! sO cOmFy!
I’d take the wheel and water bottle off, as well as that little awkward door, and if use it as a hide inside or on top of my current tank for my gerbils. Would just be a little extra area for them
@@PicklesPets Thats weird because there’s this little girl that takes really good care of her robo hamster and she uses a clear cage just like this exact one and her hamster looks super cute and happy and the cage is legit the same one
Maybe like a dig/sand box?? But it looks like it actually could work as a cool age for some kind of invertebrate. It you put fine mesh over the ventilation- and covered some completely - you could turn it on it’s side and it looks like it would make a good enclosure for a jumping spider or mantis.
I would probaly use this cage for a tarantula just without the whole wheel and water bottle maybe not a full grown tarantula tho 😂I personally don't have one so I have no clue
I love your watch! It looks great on you. My juvenile snake lives in a ten gallon, and even HE is like, the perfect size for it. I really hope we can get him a bigger cage though, because it is always cramped with enrichment and his water dish (life necessities).
Throw away the wheel donate the water bottle and dish to like a rescue or something and use the cage as a like alternative for when your cleaning or a travel cage
*heavily sarcastic* I love not researching about hamsters! They are small creatures who don't need space because at the largest it's like the size of my hand. These cages are super duper cute. I heard that you can put cute stickers on bin cages and can get cute toy and colorful bedding but hamsters are dumb so they don't need very many things. Also, the wheel doesn't need to be big because nothing can happen. Btw, this is sometimes a excuse/defense from people who keep their hamsters in small cage. My hammy is in 2 attached bin cages so she has 990 square inches
not to offend but how could someone think that's big like they need at least 450 sq inches of floorspace (80 x 50 cm) and you can make a bin cage which would be cheaper and there are bins that measure 80 x 50
Also my Gerbils aren’t using their wheel they are digging in the Conner of the tank too they have 18 inches of bedding The wheel has been in there for a while and they haven’t even touched it.
My mom bought a Robo hamster off Kijiji and the previous owner had horrible living conditions. The pellets were stale, The wheel was 4 inches, There was only 1 inch of bedding, and it only had about 200 inches of floorspace.but when I started explaining that it was a bad cage,She told e to calm down and that when she was young she kept 2 Robo hamsters in the same living conditions. Please help.
Its sad but the worst thing about this cage is the ventilation. There are very small holes and doesn't seem to have that many. Even as a carrier it would be poor to use. Its like the equivalent of a square hamster ball
That is the size of my travel cage. I have a multi chamber hide that’s about the same size. My freaking hide is bigger than that cage. That’s just sad...
you could use that cage inside a cage as tunneling space then put a wheel on top of it basically use it as a platform but there are cheaper priced things you could use for that! xD
To be honest I might use it while I'm cleaning out my hamsters cage (spot cleaning of course) but even then I think a play pen is a much cheaper and safer option.
If you want a cheap good hamster cage I know one if you don’t already know. Get an ikea detolf. It’s like $70 CAD and it’s about 900+ square inches I think so it’s amazing for your hamster.
To be fair, it would be kinda cute to use for a little doll house :) No living breathing animals should live in there full time though, that's for sure.
That would be a perfect cage for when your cleaning, trip to the vet, or an emergency, like keeping in the basement/Tornado Shelter. Storing Flat like that is pretty cool. But thats IT...... no animal should LIVE in THAT! OMG....... maybe an hour or two at MOST...
The bottom door... yeah there is no way that is useful. If hanster is on the 1st level and you cab't grab from above coz cage is so cramped then even if you open bottom door you still gotta wait for hamster to come out on its own. Even as travel cage there is no handle and it seems like it could just fall apart. Idk what it can be used for other than a hamster hide, but it's not so good for that either
I have a question. So I'm moving semi soon, and I have a hamster. He is a robroski. And is in a Prevue 528 cage. I'm moving 3 hours away. So how should I travel with him for that long? My plan is to set him up in his old bin cage once I get there. Because it is a lot smaller and easier to move.
I was wondering if I should put my robo to sleep cause she hasn't responded well to the vet medicine for mites, she is about 15 months old & suffering daily, the vet gave her revolution every 2 weeks for three doses. I cleaned her cage every other day for 6 weeks. vet said to put her to sleep if she stops using the wheel, eating or drinking & my hamster has stopped running as much cause of the mites.
I can really say much since I'm more of a reptile keeper and not a hamster, Gerbil, etc keeper. Since it doesn't have the capacity to even keep smaller species, maybe if it would be great if they made it in big enough to were it meet requirements. Also it would be nice if it was good acrylic as well. Again this is my take on it.
Could it be used for like... insects/arachnids? Or would the vent holes be too big? Its a weird cage. It if was clear it could be a cute hide or something but its pretty ugly lol
