Son, I remember back in 1979 my newly minted wife and I went tent camping in Beaver Dam SP in southern Illinois. That was our only time of camping together. I don't recall taking our daughters camping. But, our son-in-law and grandson have camped all over Illinois and southern Missouri. In fact now that I am 70, I just bought the grandboy some new camping stuff and I bought his little sister a little two person tent of her own so she can go camping too.⛺🔥

My husband and I did a lot of camping when we were much younger, but we almost always used a tent and slept on the queen sized mattress we borrowed from our sofa. We had the same interests which is very important in a good marriage. So Happy you and Riley are the same way!!! Olivia will 99.99%, follow suit in the same interests! WE WERE CRAZY BACK THEN! LOL! I GET COLD THINKING ABOUT THAT NOW! LOL! ONCE, IN THE EARLY 80'S, WHILE STAYING AT A CABIN THAT I PARTIALLY STILL OWN, WE ENCOUNTERED A ONCE CONVICTED MURDERER BEING PURSUED BY THE LAW FOR RAPE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT, THAT FINALLY MADE A MOVE ON US ABOUT 4AM AND MY WIFE FIRED A SHOT AT HIM AFTER HE CUT 2 TIRES ON A FRIENDS JEEP TO TRY KEEP US FROM GETTING AWAY AND HE FLED AND IT TOOK THE SBI 3 MONTHS TO FINALLY CATCH HIM. ABOUT A YEAR LATER HE BLEW HIS FRIENDS HEAD OFF WITH A SHOTGUN AND WAS PUT ON DEATH ROW WHERE HE DIED BEFORE BEING EXECUTED. WE HAD VERY YOUNG CHILDREN WITH US AT THAT TIME. THE EARLIER YEARS WERE ALL PEACEFUL. THE BIGGEST DANGERS ARE NOT ANIMALS, BUT HUMAN BEINGS. WE DON'T CAMP ANYMORE, BUT WE BOTH LEGALLY CARRY AT ALL TIMES IN TODAY'S USA REGARDLESS OF WHERE WE GO. IF WE WERE PHYSICALLY ABLE, WE WOULD BE BACK IN THE WOODS STILL TODAY AS WE MISS IT.

Great video! It's always fun to push yourself to get more comfortable with being uncomfortable. The ebikes are great. I had an issue with the truck that I didn't have time to fix. I brought it to the mechanic this morning and rode the ebike to work from the shop. I made 5 miles in no time, and it was fun rippin around town. See ya again next week.

It was fun watching you make the lasagna in the Dutch oven too! Your videos always motivate me to try and make better food out there! Oh and love that you got out on the e-bike! I love to find excuses to take ours out around town too. They’re definitely a blast. I saw a conversion online where someone put like a snowmobile track on the back of one and a ski on the front…could be a fun idea for the snow. (If we ever get any 😅)

Hi Jack and Rylie! Ooooh a super snug camp out! Great bikes by the way. You two are great sports, so cool to give the bike cabin a 2 person trial! Such an auspicious occasion leaving Olivia with her grandparents - she will have been in loving, capable hands, hope you were both ok without her for a night😊. Missed sweet Ellie!
