So glad the Easter services went well. It is always inspiring to be in a service in a large church building and hear beautiful music. 🇬🇧

I would buy your handspun! Or just buy you a kofi honestly. When these videos come out they are such a reward for me to hang out w you at the end of a long day. Very grateful for you!

Your yarn inspired me: Call me Ishmael socks with little whale tails around the top. Actually, if the socks are Ishmael's I guess you'd only need one.

Oh! That is a fantastic idea. Alas I have already done a band of colorwork but what a great suggestion!

You have inspired me! I had always knit top down from Winwick Mum. I truely despise picking up stitches. For my most recent socks im doing toe up, round toe and love, love, love Denise's shadow wrap heel. Just kind of looked for resource for toe up, then started knitting!.

It's a great way to avoid picking up stitches! Plus you can do the shadow wrap heel on either a cuff-down OR toe-up sock...brilliant!

You could knit contrasting heels and toes with the Stroll held double. It would gently pad the hard-wearing spots and keep you from altering the challenge your friend wrapped for you.

That is a great idea! Naturally I have already started the socks and done a little colorwork band at the top. But it's something to consider next time this happens.

Good tips on steeking shoulders

I'm so glad you found that useful!! I will try to show more of this in 'real life' once I get to this point in the gansey.

Could you design some colourwork socks in shetland. I would buy the pattern. Love your knitting

I will consider it! Shetland jumper-weight yarn is not too well-suited to being worn on the feet because it breaks so easily, but I'm sure house socks would be fine. In the past I have avoided colorwork in my socks because that often makes the sock too tight to fit over my foot, but I would love to take on this challenge...

For Felicity, i mentioned before, adjust tension even during a spin if she moves! Its an Ashford thing of some single drive models. 🤷

Great tip! I will try doing this.

Could you do horizontal lace bands with the lighter weight yarn? It seems like that would mitigate the gauge difference. Maybe Mary, she was a Bluestocking before their time, or rather a wannabe.

That is a good idea for two-color socks! Naturally I already started them and used the grey (well, a slightly different grey in a yarn with a better-matching gauge) for a little colorwork band at the top), but I like the idea of a contrasting horizontal lace stripe in between vanilla sections.
