I had some controlled pooling yarn I used for a shawl and the pattern I used told me to purl the pooled colours when the rest of the row was knitted and knit them when the row was purled. This meant that the pooled colours popped out more against the base colour. I bet that would look good on the socks.

There are teams for TDF. Usually the weeks leading up to the event teams anounce themselves. Love Archie's spun fleece!
