XD... the kitchen has been awesome so far, and we've been making all these little quality of life upgrades, like spice jars and a place to hang the dish towels etc. and it's feeling closer and closer to true completion.
Hey not as long as us, my trailer has been sitting out the back for 1.5 years now! Was meant to start the build 2 years ago! And yeah, you guys are busy beavers in between your build, editing etc! Hope to see you again with any luck x
I love the way your kitchen is coming along.... will your cooktop be one of those portable one? under the fan/shelf? love your countertop/sink and faucet combo....looks great. congrats on the frig/freezer combo...I have a hard time without a freezer...this is really do-able.....thanks for sharing.
Just a hint on removing stickers from things. Heat them up with a hair dryer, and peel as you heat in front of the contact point. Clean off any glue residue with goo-gone or acetone. (nail polish remover works good as well.
You two did good with the kitchen.....you may want to think about pull out drawers. And as for not posting that often, just slap each other a few times, but not hard, that'll be enough for me I think. LOL
not "done, done", but it looks really nice guys .. I like your theme, basic, not expensive but solid and competent .. the "closet" came out better than I expected and the cat stairs is inspired .. the only issue is, I have a thing about uncovered switch plates also I'd like to see a fire extinguisher (maybe you didn't show it) in the kitchen
:) ha, the cover plate is right here... just haven't put it back yet :P and there is a fire extinguisher! just a few feet away in the going-to-be-a-shower-but-currently-storage area ;)
In the struggle for TH's to be accepted by city/county .. the issues of safety, structure, and eyesore are under question .. my mind boggles at $100k+ TH's, even $50k+ TH's seem expensive .. most people are attracted to TH's to get into inexpensive housing or mortgage free living yet hosting (by city/county) is still a wild card issue and the expression/reputation TH living is a serious issue on the mind of thousands of lawmakers across the countries .. it's a simple cover plate, less than a buck but as a showcase of what can be accomplished, it's inclusion or exclusion speaks volumes, likewise for the fire extinguisher. You've done a great DIY job with your TH project, but these small points matter to the future of TH's as a housing solution
It's uh.... not QUITE finished to the point of a proper tour... BUT you can have a look at it yourself if you visit our virtual lot: www.tinynestproject.com/explore/
Hi Jake and Kiva! My husband and I have been following you guys for a long time and were so inspired we’ve decided to start our own channel. It’s called MidlifePrices. We live in an RV full-time. I hope you will check out our channel if you get a chance and leave us some feedback to let us know how we ’re doing. You guys are awesome and inspiring! Thanks!
Looks better than the stuff I have seen on better homes and gardens. I have a question and you may have covered this all ready but do you have any make up for the exhaust fan,s you know air out air in . And yes I am excited to see you guys back even if only for a pop in
Thanks :) We have an active air-exchanging system planned, which might be able to ramp up the incoming air when the exhaust is on... but I actually didn't account for any sensors to detect that... so more likely we will just open the window right beside the cooking area, which should also help (even if just a little) to reduce the amount of potentially warm air from the main part of the house that gets pushed out there.
Is it me, the way I see you two sort of squirming as if it feels weird being on camera again after so long. The Kitchen is coming along very nicely, the coat closet is a brilliant idea, just remember, she gets part of your side Jake, LOL. The Freezer idea I might copy, it's a good idea stacking them. Although, I think like my mini fridge, I'll make a cabinet that's a bit bigger so I can wrap it in more foam hoping they won't use as much power as normal. Might I suggest roll out drawers inside your cabinets, their much easier and way more convenient. I have a few in my house that are huge. All in all, well done.
Yup, that's us, awkward at the best of times :D You are right, it has been a little while since we have been in front of the camera! Thank you for watching!
Purdy kitchen guys! I like the placement of your sink, do you guys have a dishwasher? I don't plan to have one, so I would go with a double sink... But I like it lots! 😎 Cheers! 🖤🦇
We won't have a dishwasher, which is why we got an ENORMOUS kitchen sink... I've always hated flailing a big pot or cooking sheet in a tiny sink, struggling and splashing...
Tiny Nest yeah, that's why I want a large deep double sink myself... One to soap and clean in, and the other to rinse... But that's just me I'm sure... 🖤🦇
