Her journey into tiny house living started seven years ago, inspired by a RU-vid video. Fast forward to now, she is in her third year of a building apprenticeship. From building her dream tiny house to designing the outdoor deck, every step has been a learning curve. Next on her list? Diving into permaculture and gardening, as she continues to evolve towards a more sustainable life.

Yes - but you have to find land on which you can build such a house... alone in a wide area!! You can't just walk into the countryside and decide... I'm going to build my tiny house here on this meadow ... I think that's the biggest problem with this !

@evelineeichele2075 This adds another layer of planning to the process. There are many areas with lot sizes of 10s of acres at 1-2k per acre. Just need to pick your climate of interest and this will lead you to certain areas. Also key to find out country building rules and zoning guidelines. Need to spend time on the land before buying/building as well.

Anyplace but Incredible Tiny Homes in Tennessee. People being evicted without cause, others having indeterminately long waits for their houses and lots to put them on.

I calmly and rationally made two statements of fact, and by no definition of the word did I write a rant. And I'm quite certain that more than 20% of the viewers here are Americans, probably closes to 50%, and that many of them are familiar with the place in Tennessee. And Americans have no qualms about moving 2500 miles across the country at the drop of a hat, so proximity is meaningless.

You people have friends and family like everyone else, so leaving them must have some impact. Well, for the remaining 50% of comment readers: if you ever visit Berlin, try to drop by the "Tresor" club, it's really nice, and for most events the gynaecologist's chair is merely ornamental.

@@novacolonel5287 Hmmm, so many Americans move across the country, or go North to South that I don't think it rises to the level of being noteworthy in many cases. Young people do it in the bat of an eye, and others so it for job opportunities, marriage/relationship, or just for a fresh start of change of scenery. Yes, leaving friends and family does have an impact, but very often the response of those left behind is "Oh great, now I'll have someplace new to visit!" And many American, especially younger ones, have no problem making friends in new locations, and the family is still important even if not close by. Virtually all of my friends and some family have spent time scattered all over the US. Many of the relocations are not life-long - people regularly return to where they came from, often to care for aging parents etc. Or the aging parents move to where the children live. Haven't been to Berlin since 1977 - I'm old! -but if I get back, I'll go the Tresor Club- looks like my kind of place! I'll try to make it when the chair is not ornamental. :) Sorry for rambling here...

I love her home and the fact that she built it is inspiring. My only addition would have been a murphy bed. The space is small and would have more funcional if a murphy bed is installed.

We love the murphy beds too! It's hard to give up the storage you have under a fixed bed, but the ability to create multipurpose space with the murphy bed is top notch!

Or a really good futon with storage. That way you get some storage, some space flexibility, and if you just want to flop down at any time.. before the big "nature's movie screen" .. you can do so! 😊😊

Beautiful! What's not to love?!! The outdoor deck - have you considered enclosing the 3 sides, as with the weather and whatever critters may decide to spend the night ... It would keep your furniture in better condition. And you could create a system that the walls could open in nice weather. Very impressive skills! I applaud your courage and determination to take on this huge project while learning a skill/trade. Best of everything on your teaching /tutoring classes. 👏👏👏👏

it's so pretty and comfy. I do agree with mom about the porch but i also wouldn't change it, so best mistake ever lol. I would love to see one like that with the porch enclosed and use same roofing material and all glass lower. Bet that would be beautiful when it snows. if you get snow, not sure where you are. i think i might need to do that for myself.

Congratulations!! 👏👏 So happy for you. One thing, you said your solar panel inverter was under your bed, please check how much EMF radiation is being emitted from it. You may need to build a Faraday to protect yourself.

I love the style of this tiny house. It is spacious and I like how it is all well thought out. So much love and work put into it. Though, I would be scared to have an oven right literally next to the bed. I love the color palette on the bed.
