This has the same energy as an easy bake oven. It's just so small, looks cheap, looks like an obvious toy, but actually functions just as well (or almost as well) as a normal resin printer. The initial kickstarter $119 price point is also really really nice. Like, that basically makes it one of the most affordable 3d printers out there now and will open up the ability for more people to get involved in it.
@Zhinoi

@@LarsBakhuis It's not the cost of the pallets themselves that was a concern, but the time and costs of machining the molds for it and such. 320x240 is a huge dealbreaker. At $119.99, you should get at least a 2k screen on it. For $50 more you can get a full-scale resin printer with a 4k resolution from Anycubic.

I find the 320 x 240 a bit misleading... When compared to most non-Mono LCD printers, TinyMaker actually puts out a better resolution than Sonic Phrozen and Elegoo Mars printers... it just lacks the build volume. When I ran the resolution into their build volumes, the Phrozen and Mars came in at 0.12 mm per pixel and TinyMaker came in at 0.09 mm per pixel. Granted I am comparing the non 2k / 4k / 8k / etc versions of the printers... At 2k, the resolution for many of the printers I compared averaged about 0.05 mm per pixel.

@@DonsArtnGames print volume for 1, print speeds reason 2, realistic usages of the printer itself. Sure this is a perfect fit for someone, but i'm being realistic that it's just another 3d resin printer. If i would to have this printer, it would be used maybe once or twice? Maybe a print on the go? But who is gonna travel with a mini printer and resin and IPA just to print on the road? Again like i said: it is cute and all, but let's not all forgot the main function of the printer.

@@DonsArtnGames the thing is you can often get a full-size printer (like Creality Halot One) for a very comparable price.

@@adameichler exactly my point, not really the brand i would go for but yeah exactly like you said.

Wonder if you can print 1/6 scale headsculpts with this.

Thats mainly what I'd get a 3d printer for, 1/6 scale heads as well as some 1/12 scale heads and weapons.

As someone who mainly uses my 3d printer for bits, basesm and other small accessories for my mini's this looks like a great solution I can use to supplument my main 3d printer. I wonder what the retail cost / quality is going to wind up being

Once this machine is fine tuned. It looks perfect for Ttrpg players, or even dms, who dont have the true space for a printer but still wants to print their own minis

If they upped the resolution a bit to match the same density as a 4k screen, this would be really neat for people who make resin jewelry or one-of minis.

If the screen had a better resolution so the layer height could reach “normal” resin print quality, I would have bought it

The files for the eyes, arms and legs of the little person should be available to print out so you can make it look like the product on the box.

It's soo stinking cute 😂❤ I think this little printer would be perfect for like creating things like tiny simple necklace charms or earrings or all things like that where getting a huge one doesn't really justify it.

It's just barely short of perfect for running off little DnD characters for friends. A 640x480 screen (aka double the DPI), and just a couple more centimeters of print height would've made it ideal. I'd more than happily pay a nice round $200 for it with those two tweaks.
