Fragile dinos like trodon ptera and dryo should grow around the 45 mins because than can be one shot by almost everything Dinos like omni , pachy , galli around the 500 kg should grow around the 1 hour and half, dilo a bit more because its bigger but still not a carno or teno Medium tier dinos like carno,cera,teno should have atleast 1 more hour than the 500 kg group , also not surpass the 3 hours of grow if possible . On the other hand, bigger dinos like deino and stego should have a grow time of 4 hour and half or even more , because almost anything can kill them and have a very long life if ur not suicidal. This is to make all the dinos worth the time so everyone can enjoy his favourite dino. You want to enjoy the game in a short time? Then u can grow a troodon. You want to play for longer but dont want to grow for 2-3 hourst to start having fun , then u play omni , pachy ,dilo . So thats how i think the grows would be perfect
PT was worth an hour grow before gateway because it was actually an amazing playable, it was pretty much ready to go upon spawning in, now i wouldnt play it even if it grew in 20min
me seeing the new Dryo growth times: i thought it couldn't get worst we saw the light with the Burrow tease and Alt attacks but now now look, look how they Massacred my boi
Its really not that bad if you settle for 1 or 2 stamina nutrients in your diet and with the buffs coming to the "perfect" diet its going to be really easy to get for a Ptera so they will have good stam regen buffs again. Spawn with the dots, hunt a frog for S and hunt 1-2 of the AI birds that comes flying for your frog for the line nutrient = perfect diet and all you did was hunt a frog and the AI that spawned on the frog... just have to be a little careful with them. Though I do think its bad that fishing is so badly rewarded, since its like Pteras thing to do.
i don't even understand why , pteras whole thing is its the paper airplane dino , all it can do is fly and thats it xD so why on earth did they cripple it to such a level your spending 90% of your time starving or regening stamina. its the funny throwaway bird dinosaur it does not and should be in anyway difficult to grow , save that for quetz

yeah I'm thinking this is pretty close to final as well, once they figure out the fatal error/sound bug that is. I couldn't see them releasing it while that's still in game since it's pretty detrimental (and possibly only happens when you are in a group from my experience) - that being said, probably safe to start purging though yee :)
When i started playing evrima first thing i played was ptera it was horrible idk how the dev can make a dino which primary appeal is flying and its only able to fly for about 20 secs and then ur sitting for like 30 mins idk what the devs are thinking
cuz Dondi doesn't want to make a flying creature be able to...fly "fast" across the map...a flying creature which only thing it can do is fly. just call it a fuckin chicken at this point since all it can do is be on the ground eating
@@proximitiesshitclips6760 as shitty as it might be to say, this is unfortunately a "skill issue". Ptera only drains stamina when flying if you gain altitude or holding down the sprint button. Stamina drains much faster if you think you are a rocket and try to gain altitude like one compared to if you do it slowly over time as well. That is literally everything that drains your stamina, you also do not lose speed after sprinting unless you try to gain altitude again meaning once you have flown high enough you can sprint for like 1-2 seconds and then cruise around the entire map at max speed and using 0 stamina to do it. Edit: Ptera does have pointlessly bad stamina regen though which is something they should change since despite everything you still end up resting quite often and its stupid for it to take like 4 minutes each time when 1.5-2 would be more than long enough.
I was gliding for so long that I started taking dmg from dehydratation. Rest from 0 was 4 mins and 15 secs iirc? Definitely not 30 mins. So why are you framing it this way?
@@TheHuffur What Should happen is that they should reset Ptera to how it was. The ONLY thing they should change to it is to add things that it can do. I.E; barrel roll for dogfighting. They need to change OTHER things to deal with Ptera, such as other dinosaurs looking up and being able to attack and therefore erasing the 'annoying Ptera deal' immediately.
@@Bleghspread because for animals who's only movement option is flight it drains ridiculous amounts of stam just by taking off it drains a noticable amount of stam resting may not be 30 mins but from my experience it's gotta be the longest rest time in the game
@@Bleghspread played it more than enough and it's painful with this trash camera field of view since you can't see shit but everything slightly bigger can always see you. I mean sure okay now he is a bit more tanky... WOOOOOOAAAH insaaane niiiiiiice. Still useless cuz you can't even see shit.
I kicked one as a dryo and pecked it twice, and it died. You sure those weren't like tip of the tail shots. I read that people have been one shot by fresh spawn stegos as a full adult troodon. @@yanchiruwang4553
Idrk if the fact u get something a few 10 minutes faster makes it worth it or not. Especially since every dino on the island does their own thing also beipi nesting is easy with and without crocs
Like, what is even the point of the tiny tier creatures? At least in the old "progression" days, you HAD to play as them, but they're all such underwhelming creatures now that nobody plays them. Why even add them to the final game?
I will put it this way.. I won´t grow an omni instead of troodon when I feel like I want to play troodon. Period. Simple as that. This game was never about what is the best or the strongest. It is about what is fun and that is heavily individual for everyone. Got bored recently with the game so I tried troodon after some time despite the nasty pounce bug being a thing.. Went solo and had really good funny run, finally. Killing adolescent dilos, soloing herrera (bitch thought it can take on me in the open, did not even run to trees) and harassing stegos with juvenile, ended up being impaled by one of its protectors. You do not want to hop on any playable and do the same thing with everything. These growth adjustments are harsher now, ngl. I really feel like we should be getting full core game loop with mutations and elders already, especially with these growth times since in that case players need to work on things with their dinos to obtain it and growing longer is just a good challenge for that. But to be honest, seeing carno having the longest growth from the mid sized dinos now is somewhat relieving to me. Also.. So many advocates for dryo all of a sudden. If you did not care about this playable before why should you now? The dino just needs the burrowing mechanic and it will be on pair with herrera as one of the most unique and fun to play gimmic from the roster. Even I could not care less about it until then. What is barely discussed and is game changing more than the growth, is the new stam pool for dinos + food/water drain adjustments. Played hordetesting for some time and I can already say that the positive impact these features are going to have on players are great. Personally cant wait for that.
I feel like the devs are tunnel visioned on trying to perfect this growth time and diets thing and they forget about fun. Dryo and other small things shouldn't be taking an hour to grow, not when it's so easy to die. It's not like legacy where you have a turn radius to save you.
i still think most if not all these really tiny tier dinos should just be scrapped , why waste so much time giving them gimmicks when noone is gonna play them anyway , i say just put their gimmick on a more interesting creature and scrap the smalls or make them ai , when bigger stuff like sucho rex trike allo etc come in who is gonna pick a troodon mimni hypsi etc , people use them for 10 minutes when they come out and never touch them again why bother
this is so true. Wasn't troodon in testing for over a year? I'm pretty sure it was. they do waste a lot of time on these small things that no on wants after they are released.
The only way to make people play them is to reduce their grows to like a half of hour so people can be suicidal and enjoy the game more without wasting 1 hour and half to be a shit that can be one shot by a fresh spaw stego

the isle has not been fun since gateway, devs decided that update the would make the game the most annoying experience ever, the isle will never recover from this except everything goes back how it was in 6.5 (except for the new dinos, those can stay)
