Learn how to install vampire plugs both male and female on your Christmas lights this year. Put a male end on the socket wire after you have measured the amount that you need. When you get to the end put a female end to end the socket wireline.
This will make it so you can plug something else in afterward or just end this socket wire with something that looks more professional than electrical tape.

Does it matter which is hot and neutral placement in the Vampire plugs?

Does it matter how you orient the vampire plug on the wire? There's two strands of wire running along the cord, does it matter how you orient the vampire teeth at all?

I have gutters but they sit a little lower than the roof line (shingles). Do you recommend installing the lights on the gutter or the roof line? or it just personal preference? Thanks!

Hi April, you should be able to clip to the edge of the shingle as well. It my experience, the lights can slip off the shingle with snow or heavy wind. The gutters are often more secure.

What about fuses? On Home Depot or Lowes lights every 25' strand has a fuse on the male plug end.

I have a set of lights and would like to make into smaller ones. Just don't know where to cut. On the receptor side the first 2 lights have the wires but after that it is all single. Then further down the cord , like in the middle, there is another set of lights with the first to lghts have # wires then after its all single (parallel). Now at the other end where the plug is the first 2 lights have the 3 wires and the rest of that is a single or parallel wire. So how do I go about it?

Great videos! One question I have is the SPT1 Wire in 1000 ft spools. Do they already have the light sockets on the wire or are you installing them? What are they called?

If using led lights does it matter how many sections I attach together?

It really depends on what strands/bulbs you use. With mini lightsyou can usually connect around 40 end to end, but we try to break ours up every 10 strands or so. For c9 bulbs, you can use around 300 on one socket wire.

@@ChristmasLightContractors I’m using the c9 led it’s 100 one strand then I need to attach two peeks and the top edge of the house total off around 210 lights spaced at 12 “. You think I can connect together on one outlet?
