Great video and tip! I also run a Red Sea Reefer 250 with two Gen 5 XR15 Blues and want to add a third light. Did you cut the overflow lid to accommodate the mount and space evenly?
i did have to remove a bit of plastic from the overflow lid to accommodate the mount. I think the overflow lid already had a perforation for removing the back part of the lid.
@@marcuslamb7876 I thought so too until I tested the par. With two XR 15 blues at 100% the top of my aquascape is in the 250 range. It is even and the spread is good but as I add sps I would rather run 3 lights and dial down than feel like I have to max out my two without the punch I want on some higher end pieces.
not for an sps tank. check out my earlier videos showing par with 2 vs. 3 lights... don't get me wrong, you can get away with 2, but 3 provides much even par
