@@CARPital obviously that is not the case right now. and as of right now the situation we are in is the fact that people are aware of this and deliberately tipping poorly even when they have the means to tip fairly. we pay about 10 percent of all sales we make. i understand your concern for the bigger picture and changing the law for employers changing the wages but as of right now, the problem is the customers that knowingly tip less. what you are suggesting takes a LOT of time, organization, planning, court dates, government approval, etc etc. but clearly that is a problem too of course. just is a bit frustrating to hear people suggesting national change overnight to one person that is struggling to make ends meet because of negligent customers.
@@CARPital also for my specific job, we have to do a LOT more than just bring food, we prepare a lot of it, cook the food for you at the table (kind of like hibachi), clean the tables when it is busy, reset the tables, restock the settings, make sure the store is clean and organized, customer service questions, special requests for occasions such as birthdays or proposals (for free), list goes on and on. at the end of the day i pretty much burn my hands cleaning out hot barbeque grills, etc.
@@dannybyun2249 the employers are legaly requierd to compensate the wage to meet legal minimum wage though. Tipping just keep enabeling the employer instead of helping the employe.
Keating is the one who organized the game and it’s an insane opportunity to sit in it. If he tells me to tip $500 I’m instantly doing it. He’s giving the most action by far and if you’re not tipping when he suggests it you don’t understand the politics of high stakes poker
It’s no different than being in a favorable line-up of loose regs and straddling when the straddle is on: or, playing a bomb pot at dealer change (my only rule here is that I try to avoid playing a bomb pot on the button if possible).
the latter part is how you stay rich as well as staying grounded. losing money from your own choices? absolutely fine and acceptable. losing money cause someone is forcing you to? derp. you're probably living paycheck 2 paycheck though or very close to it.

Yeah that was actually a good decision by Bilzerian, for once. And they only critiqued it because they could see the cards. That's a standard fold. In fact if you don't make that fold you're going broke. The others at least had live cards. A10 is too often dominated.

When I first started playing online poker it was like this at 1/2 (£) 10 handed limit. I would play suited aces, and pairs...if I didn't flop a set with aces I folded 🤣 If you made a flush or full house you could get multiple bets from the entire table.

A nice gesture but definitely annoying. Ninja made a good point if you decline to tip then you're seen as an asshole even though you've been tipping all night.

@@spacebomb9126 I would be more inclined to believe you, if he his mannerisms didn't reflect that. But you can tell a person's character by the little things he does. For example, when he was trying to get ninja to tip, he was trying to take care of the dealers who made the show possible. Many other examples of Keating do the little things to make sure the little person doesn't feel isolated or pushed around on many sessions.

Online poker software is set to put you on tilt via algorithm, and how much you deposit. You need to be wealthy to last on it or it's going to steal all your money, period. That's why you always see the same people in all of the decent pay-out tournaments winning them consistently. Because they can afford to keep on trying those tournaments over and over with no financial loss that will actually hurt them in life. I've been on pokerstars now for 17 years and it is ALWAYS the exact same rich people doing the big winning. Stay away from online poker software, you absolutely will go broke, no matter your skill level.
