I got this a while back. I have no regrets and it is one of my favorite markers to play with, got a box mag and can keep up with average speedballers. it's got very customizable looks for body kits (Mine looks like a Scar-L) and it is very durable. overall best thing you'll get from tippmann so far.
I was considering getting a TMC, but I ended up buying a First Strike T15 in the end because of what I wanted and also because I already have a heavily modified Tippmann Cronus.
Just amazing, I bought a TMC today and after a full 8 hours of play it chopped once and it preformed amazingly. My killhouse WS red dot works like a charm on it ( yes i need a riser). It overall feels great and you don't even need a handle, the mag well or barrel shroud works just fine. Depending on your play style you may not need many mags because of its accuracy. Just an amazing gun overall.
Honestly the tipx and the tacamo blizzard/bolt are going to be my first choice for low end mag fed. the tipx is small, consistent, fs compatible with a couple upgrades, and the mags are cheap, but work very well. the tacamo blizzard/bolt is basically a magfed 98, but it uses dmags which are one of the best mag systems available and it has tons of upgrades and accessories available
Great review of the Tippmann TMC! I've been running Tippmann for 7 years now and I gotta say this is a sick looking marker and for a very reasonable price. Love Tippmann durability and liability. Thanks for sharing and I think this is going to be my next piece for my Paintball Arsenal.
cracks me up its costs $138usd to run 10 x 20rd fsr mags here in a game in New Zealand, 10 milsig mags is over $500usd, the initial cost of a gat is sort of irrelevant when you going to get stung hundreds more to use it...
only complaint is them sticking with 98 threads. Why not A5? they're so much more popular by a long shot. I have A5 barrels, I have no 98 barrels...bummer.
I use this marker and after a year, many times it getting stuck while I'm shooting...then I knock down the rifle and fitting it..how can I solve this problem?
Been looking at getting one of these, I've found different sources saying its .50cal, and some saying its .68cal....which one is it really!? Cant seem to get an answer
It depends on your velocity and it's powered by either CO2 or HPA (I recommend always getting HPA/buying an HPA tank even though Tippmann guns work totally fine with CO2 tanks).
this looks waaaaaay better than and cheaper to run than an mr6 especially mag prices mr6 mags cost around 20$ and only get one 9 ball I would trade or sell mr6 for one of these
Can you replace parts on it with magpul parts for example: can I put magpuls bad leaves on it, in place of the mag release? Can I put other mods on it as far as Magpul parts go, maybe put a radon charging handle on it in place of the one that it comes with?
That I don't know. What I do know is that the mod potential of Tippmann guns that have 98 internals (including this one) is ridiculously high. My Tippmann Cronus attests to this
OK. I'm asking because I learned a hard lesson with spring-fed mags and an original Tiberius T-8. Shooting on a warm day and it didn't take long for the paint to get out of round in the magazine. So you can understand why I'm a little leery about the whole magfed thing.
Can I get an aftermarket stock like one for airsoft for this gun or do I need a specific stock or are there no other options than the stock that comes out of the box with the gun itself?

Two things I was hoping for are first strike ready and 13ci tank in stock. Any possibility that could happen or is the lack of those options helping to keep cost low?
well it's not a regulated marker so you probably won't have the option to screw the tank into the back like a Milsig rifle (that's where the regulator is)
making it fsr should b pretty simple with a dremel and a steady hand. the 13 ci would require the entire shell and internals to be rearranged, so probably not
Adding a fake suppressor is simple too. you can find one here, www.ansgear.com/Lapco_STR8_Shot_Fake_Suppressor_p/lapcostr8shottips-suppressor.htm . Just unscrew the tip off of your big shot and screw on the fake suppressor in its place.
People like the realism of having a limited supply of ammo with a magazine like you would with a real gun. Plus, you don't have a hopper blocking your view above the gun.
ANSgearPaintball can you put an extended fore end on it or is the fore end fixed. I have some 20 inch barrels that would cosmetically make that look awesome, but a matching fore end would be a nice add on.
I would recommend asking Tippmann. Sorry, not trying to get out of answering questions, it's just that I don't have a ruler here that goes down to hundredths of an inch so I wouldn't be able to tell.
sucks they went with the 98 threading when many magfed markers in the market now are 15/x7 threaded, like milsig, TCR, TPX, etc. Should have supported First Strikes too. TCR was able to shoot FS....
The stock tube is part of the gun. It's literary part of the casting. You can replace stock itself though. This pretty much means a tank in the stock like you see on the t15 is pretty much impossible.
Depends on your style of play. This markers selling point is that it's magfed. The internals are pretty the same. The A-5 however, can be had with full-auto. This will only be a semi-auto. You can of course, customize the A-5 to whatever you want it to be...even a magfed, but by then you'll have spent a lot more than you would buying this in the first place. If you're not sure, I'd go with this one over the A-5. It's much easier to put a hopper on this than convert an A-5 to magfed.
It's a bit too soon to know for sure. Tippmann hasn't released an e grip for the TMC yet and whether or not they will simply depends on the demand for one.

on the left side of the gun, in the middle of the body(the black part), there's a hole where an allen key fits in. counterclockwise to screw it out will increase your velocity.
