TIPS AND TECHNIQUES FOR CATCHING LOADS OF TROUT!!!

Richard here's a little trick I picked up sometime back. Get you a plastic soap box to carry your night crawlers in just rinse them off in the steam drop them in the box and start wading. When its time to rebait open the box pull how much you want and close the lid on him it cuts him like a pair of scissors.

My job takes me up to Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania and trout fishing is huge up there. I bought my first fly rod from a sporting goods store up there back in March. This ol Cullman boy was out of his element. Tried to take my successful bass fishing knowledge up there and catch me some trout in the Yellow Breeches creek nearby our job and a very popular stocked trout creek. I got skunked. I cought a 3 lb sucker fish bit that was it. So many trout hitting the top of the water, and everyone around me catching except me. I tried to conform with my crappie rod, using berkeley fish eggs, but still got skunked. This brings something I know to the table. Old school worm fishing added to the moving creek water (which completely blew my mind and stupefied me.) This makes me feel like I'll be successful on my next trip. I'm going to run over to Smith lake dam and give it a try before I go. Thanks for the schooling!

Did you see that Sasquatch sitting on the other bank? It was a Southern species cause he had a big ole dip of Copenhagen in his lip and was drinking a SunDrop at the same time.

Thanks RGFM! I took my 6 year old girl catfishing yesterday and she, all 45 pound of her pulled in a 23 pound carp. Good 20 minute fight up and down the river. It was incredible and she was talking about you. She said I bet the Crazy Man (you) would like this.

Trout magnets work pretty decent on those guys too I’ve also put a big night crawler chunk on a trout magnet 1/64oz jig head and been able to get more stubborn trout of panfish crowded areas

All my people are from the Oak Ridge area Gene. I didn’t even know they was trout around anywhere? I’ve hunted a lot of grouse in the late 1970s but are you in northern or southern, western or eastern Tennessee!? (One of my kin discovered the tiny snail-darter-thought to be extinct-while he was getting his degree in ichthyology at UT and it held-up the building of the Tellico dam in the 1970s for several years. (The TVA wasn’t happy about it as I recall) but anyway, I didn’t know there were any indigenous populations of trout down there!?

Bluefox spinner. Carolina rig with worms. Powerbait. Ground beef works really well too.

You should try the trout fishing on the Little Red River in Arkansas. Beautiful quality trout and great scenery!
