@@Linescapes oh i have these "urban sketching handbooks" they are ok, but id really love to see a book that gives me step by step advice. personally i never know how and where to start, or how to draw textures.. eg sunflower field, wheat fields, Grass, stone fields next to each other... and so on :)
@@stinkakatza same! i would like to buy it if there was a book like this. im a beginner and i wanna learn everything from start but its kinda hard learning throu internet by searching every topic one by one for a beginner who knows nothing
This is the first video that I've seen on perspective and actually talks on how to incorporate people into the drawing. Knowing the basics and drawing boxes is important but to actually understand how to apply that to people and objects in the drawing is really, really valuable!

I am a Cartoonist ( by hobby) from india..Since i am not a professional cartoonist, i could not apply perspective rules in my cartoon drawing..Now with your videos i am getting some idea on perspective concept..expecting more videos from you on perspective tips.. Thanks for your valuable lessons.
Great tips on drawing one point perspectives guys. The only caveat to the horizon line being the level of all heads is any significant changes in ground elevation at which time that horizon line moves to another plane. I like the tip about trees, very good tip. If that tree is lower than the horizon line I think it's called a shrub😀 BTW, thanks for the tip cards and start on your book OK?
Hey Richard! Yeah, we might have to make another video about bird’s eye perspective, I think. And yeah, shrub is a good way to put it 🙃 We haven’t yet started on a book, but I think it’s a must sometime soon!
Oh I’ve read books on perspective and watched every video and they are helpful to a degree but this video is the easiest to understand. I love your clam and slow way of speaking too. Thank you so much for this video and for your channel. I usually never write comments on yt, but I am so grateful for this. I am an architect and I am about to finish my master thesis. I needed to do some drawings, and it's been so long since I've drawn something for other people than me, so I was having a difficult time trying to sketch things (specially since I don't have much time). This video was seriously such a miracle for me. Keep up the good work! :)
