Sara Bugarinovic I am Swedish, and I absolutely adore Audrey, She seems to be very warm and friendly, the idea that europeans wouldnt like her because of her niceness is just poppycock ,
Camel: the shade of many of my favorite cashmere cardigans and sweaters. I mix them up with scarves and brooches. No one wears brooches anymore, but I am not a jewelry gal. They are an easy way to add *bling* 😊
I've always loved beige in my shoes or accessories, but ever since I was introduced to minimalist fashion, I've been playing around more with beige and other neutral colors in general. I have a light beige tank top, a somewhat darker beige shirt and a tan colored sweater in my fall capsule. Shades like that seem to look good on me :)
So glad you included a silver (white) haired model...beige is trickier for us, no matter our skin tone. I am neutral and love beige but find deeper, warmer shades I used to wear don't work so well anymore. With that said, I cannot get rid of my favorite beige hoodie that I wear with a beige suede/pearl long necklace! How wonderful that you are *gifted* so many great items!
Beige looks horrible on me since I grew out my colored hair to a beautiful platinum a couple years ago. I hope I can find a shade that works but I have tried many and so far, so bad! LOL!
@@womanofacertainage5892 I hear you! Off whites, cream, etc. look awful with my white hair but deeper tones aren't terrible...I like a mocha beige; more gray tones in it.
Lori Walter that's something to think about... my hair is mostly medium blonde now, and beige, camel, caramel and cream colors look good on me. These days, white hairs are coming in and I'm determined not to color my hair. My grandmother had already completely white hair at my age, so I know what to expect eventually. Your comments make me think I'll have to reconsider my "best colors" when that time comes... 😕
If I had to pare down to two colors in my wardrobe, it would be beige and white. I don’t find any combination more chic, elegant or sophisticated looking. Interesting video, Audrey. Thank you 😊
You have a lovely way of presenting, Audrey. I think beige is very tough to wear. Personally, I avoid it close to my face but I think it can look very classy in a skirt or trousers or accessories. [I am a cool toned blonde]. I would class the coats and jackets you showed as more tan than beige and much easier to wear without washing out.
I avoid it, I just figured out I have light olive skin thanks to you and a few other youtubers! I have dark brown hair and it washes me out. Would be so grateful for a video on colors for light olive skin if you ever want to make one :)
Oh my god the way you talk is so elegant and soothing to hear, I love your sophistication to these little details and thank you for the information! 😊☺️
A cool beige is one of my favourite shades to wear in either a blazer or a cardigan. I always feel so fresh and tidy somehow! And I love scarves that have a beige background with small print as the focal point. I think that can be so dainty and feminine. Another great video, and you look especially great in that cardigan Audrey! Suits your complexion so well!
I was so in need for this exact content. I have a cool undertone and recently bought lots of beige clothing, and regretted the minute I tried them at home. Now I'll try to mix them and balance them out with my favorite colors. Thanks!
Thank you, Audrey! Please consider creating more videos on choosing neutrals (navy, gray, etc,) and the best colors to mix with each one. I’d like to try more gray, but end up wearing it with black, white, or navy. Ivory is another color I’d love to wear more of in garments other than tops. Any ideas? A chart would be so helpful!
Helpful ☺️ When I was younger I felt great in beige but now in the second half of my 60s I've shied away from it. Older ladies can lose their color and appear washed out. With your tips I will enjoy a new twist on beige with confidence 😊
Very old fashioned ladylike personality - love your videos! I’ve learned so much from you and am preparing to launch into capsule wardrobe buying. Wish me luck!!!
Hi Audrey, I have to tell you . I was never like beige before but this year I really loving it . Like you said you just have get the right tone of beige . As always thank you for sharing ! Take care .
This video was a great idea! I love beige but find it hard to wear. It seems most beige is warm. Actually most light colors wash me out unless they are nearly white. These tips may help, not just because beige is in style but because it is always classic.💕
I agree with you. I find beige washes me out and makes my skin look sallow. Colors that enhance my skin tone are usually navy, black and white or cream near my face. I do wear beige pants with a black top long enough to cover my hips. I find lighter pants emphasizes your rear more.
I use to not like beige. I think if you choose fabrics like cotton wool e.g it makes beige much more luxurious tot an otherwise boring colour. I think that beige needs that more than any other colour. Thanks for this video, great tips I really enjoyed it.❤️
I don't know if it was the era I grew up in or just the typical rites of passage, but teens of my time experimented in a lot of really unflattering fashions. I wore everything I saw on TV, in a magazine or on the streets and actually wore myself out. I spent my twenties and thirties only in greys and black convinced I had no fashion sense. Here in my 40s I'm totally at ease in mustards and rose colors (despite being olive toned with mild rosacea). I look fresh in the colors I've selected because you can wear any color, it's the hue you have to choose more carefully. Love your channel. And love beige.
Hi Audrey, you look very lovely at all times. This video is about beige but the colour I find most flattering to you is the wine color of the final dress.
As usual, fantastic tips and tricks to wearing what could be a very boring color.....Builder's beige has always had the connotation of complete absence of creativity, beauty or charm....you have summarily undone that view and turned Beige into a wonderfully useful and lovely color...Big Hugs sweetie..
I just adore your sweet voice & you speak so softly. This video is a personal favorite. Beige is one of my favorite colors. It is so true that you have to select the right shade for your skin tone. Thank you again for the tips. Cheers 😉 🌷
Could you do a video about plus sized style? I never see anyone doing style like you when theyre plus sized and id really like to know how to style myself more like this
Thank you so much Audrey. You are so elegant! I have a new confidence now in choosing the proper color combinations and am also looking for quality clothes only from now on. I am minimizing my wardrobe, and it feels wonderful.
As a woman with a gool undertone, I never went for brown tones. I went for grey and blue. Then I discovered taupe and Love(ed) it! And now I am literally obsessed with brown tones, especially cognac 😍 So this video is perfect timing!! Kepp up your good work and best wishes from Germany 🙋🏼♀️💞
Same here. I love taupe. Especially with a tan. Dark brown is good too. If the Cognac has too much orange in it I can't wear it. My best beige/neutral is an oatmeal. But I am always happier in a grey!
Beige is nice as long as i wear it with a darker color like burgundy and black. I noticed this while watching some of your older videos, your 2019 videos are much calmer, quiet and slower, which is so much better than your 2018 videos.
I'm not sure if I'm neutral tone but I love all beige-cream look from head to toe! I learned that tip in Paris and I love it! Totally looks put together.
I love beige. Done right it looks classic and is versatile. As a winter I have never found a shade that looks right on me. I will look for paler shades without yellows.
Thanks Audrey, this was extremely helpful! I am very cautious with beige, I guess I have a cool undertone and “classic“ warm beige looks awful on me, but you gave me some great ideas to experiment. 😊
I love beige and brown colors. I’ve only recently started experimenting with them because I always gravitated towards blue and black because blue was my favorite color and black is just easy and matches everything. However, I have a warm undertone and recently I’ve started playing around with earthy colors, like warm rusts, forest green, brown, cream, and beige. And I love it. I think those colors are very flattering on me.
Inspiring video! Personalization is so true! I've been searching for beige shoes, but with my skin tone even that is proving difficult! I'm searching - maybe rose beige or darker - to flatter my ankle and legs. I'll find it one day!! Lol
This was very helpful. The undertone thing is really important to bear in mind. As a muslim girl I dont wear beige close to my face, so I'd rather put on a turqoise blue scarf and a warm beige dress for my proposal day. Thank you Audrey!
Wow! You are my new found favourite RU-vidr. I like your style. Back to basic and classic - something which many on the internet lose sight among the fast fashion and desperation to ‘lead’ in the field. Your voice and enunciation are so soothing :) I didn’t realize I needed a tutorial on wearing beige until I saw this! In fact, many times I saw my beige pieces in the wardrobe and I didnt know how to put them into a nice appealing outfit! I am still finding a solution.
That lady with the beigh accessory in the Instagram picture example you showed - the criss cross bag, looks great by the other giant beige accesory- the giant wall beside which she stands 😉 wow what a spectacular picture!! Some people have their Instagram game really on point!
I like the idea of beige shoes! Thanks for the tip! Khaki or tan pants too often look like no pants from a distance!!! I likes the examples you showed, they were far enough away from skin toned, I think the looser silhouette helps too! Come to think of it the no pants look is only cause by tight pants! Maybe that why I adore the look of the classic Carhartt work parts and overall in the camel/ sand color. Oh I want a pair of them! That is a huge pet peeve to me! I like beige sweaters and cardigans tho! Especially those chunky cable fisherman sweaters.
Beige is beautiful with burgundy, olive green and of course a rich chocolate brown. Thank you for your videos. I always find them so calming. Please could you tell me from where did you get your gorgeous pinky ring?
Audrey you are so lovely, thank you for these videos. I would say though that although you can wear most anything and pull it off, beige is not the best for deep winters. I have enjoyed your videos and as always, look forward to the next one.
Hi Audrey, I had d my colour and image done by House of Colour year’s ago. It really helped me with my colour and clothing style. I am petite and my colour neutrals are grey, navy, white and black. I don’t wear black next to my face now because it’s too harsh at my age, fifty. Could you do a neutral grey or navy as a neutral colour please. I love every video you do. Thank you so very much! Xxxxxx
Usually I avoid beige because I can't find the one that compliments me. But thanks to your video I think I'm gonna try again. I think cool /neutral gonna fit me!
I was binge-watching your vlogs last night until midnight and i was wondering if i also have an olive tone because I don’t know how to determine. Then I dreamt of you and you said i have olive tone and told our community that you will be giving free tutorials on how to style accdg to our tones hehe
Such good advice, as always, thank you Audrey. I have a few favourite bits of leopard print in clothes and bags too. And one zebra print handbag and dress. In terms of skin colour, what amazes me is: although I'm pink and very pale, and have sensitive skin prone to irritation (and more pinkness) yet my skin category is "cool". Isn't that odd? I've always thought warm would describe my pink skin more accurately. I have always found it so hard to get foundation because I always look for the palest but they always look very yellow on me. Now I've found a favourite foundation, thanks to Cosmetics a la Carte (London). I now wear the most perfect pink foundation - and I mean pink. :)
I finally watched this because Audrey puts beige with other colors in other videos. So, curiosity won. Still not sure how I feel about beige, but I have noticed some people lately styling it perfectly with other colors and looking so contemporary chic. Maybe...🤔
